Emilia appears and behaves like she doesn't belong in the current, modern world filled with fancy technology, a quick and restless lifestyle, plus degraded morals and manners. And in a quite literal way, she does not. She has not chosen to be in this current time - Emilia is a powerful mage and sorceress, but a ritual once had an unexpected side effect that changed her life, for better or for worse.

The girl grew up in England during the "Shakesperean" age at the start of the 17th century, also called the "Jacobean era". She was born into a noble family that was reigning over the duchy of Sussex, and since no male heir was born, Emilia became duchess by the right of her birth after her parents died from sickness when she was 20 years old. Not much is known about her origin, and Emilia is not exactly talkative about it. At some point though, she must have learned how to use magic, since the girl practices witchcraft and sorcery.

Due to her youth spent in that time period, Emilia has a very old fashioned way of thinking, acting and talking. She speaks what mostly seems to be "Early Modern English" like that which can be found in the "King James Bible" or the works of Shakespeare. She thinks that as a member from nobility, she is better than those of the lower classes, and deserves to stand above them, or even to freely use them as she sees fit. Emilia mostly is the product of her time, although of course she also quite enjoys to have power, to be in control, and to make others obey her every whim.

When she reached her mid thirties, Emilia became concerned that her beauty would soon start to wither away, and so she began to look for something to stop the process of aging. In an old book about magic, she found something, a sinister, vile ritual that involved the sacrifice of twenty virgins. The duchess became obsessed with the thought of stopping the teeth of time, and so she did the ritual without too much hesitation about it. And it worked - but something went wrong as well. Apparently, as she later found out, one girl had lied about her virginity. Emilia stopped physically aging, forever keeping her attractive, pretty looks, but she was lost in time and space. Or better, she travelled through them, landing in modern-day Nexus about fifteen years ago.

She was shocked, irritated and puzzled, but slowly managed to find her way around. Emilia was saddened that she could not return to her familiar environment, but on the other hand, her new location also provided opportunities. The girl learned about vore, and magically enhanced her body so she could use this, to consume both the soul and form of others and nourish herself with it. It's not even hard to find potential prey, as the Nexus is buzzing with all manner of beings and creatures, and most will not be missed, the majority of people accepting that some folks get eaten. That's just the way it is. Interestingly enough, Emilia had her whole residence brought alongside with her, and so she stays in her old family home, Gloucester Manor. She has made some renovations, though, as even the old-fashioned Emilia has come to like some of the conveniences of modern technology, like electricity and running water. She also made a couple of servants, bending their will with magic, so that she doesn't have to do "low class" work like cleaning by herself.

Emilia is aristocratic, posh, sophisticated and well-mannered. She behaves and speaks like the member of royalty and nobility that she is, although this also makes her vain, arrogant and a bit uptight. She believes she is better than most others due to her origin and heritage, and will happily display and state that belief. It seems natural for her that she is a "highborn" and can command the lower classes. As a result, she has little sympathy and empathy for the common folk, and nowadays, that is almost everyone. She does not directly treat them like trash, but she happily acts uppish and condescending, and if someone annoys her, she will even degrade them - all in a very formal way of speaking.

Emilia is not asexual, but she is more prude than most. Public display of affection is something she regards as vulgar if it's more than holding hands. In private, she is more open for naughty things, although methods that deviate from normal, vaginal sex occur as "filthy" to her. Despite all that, she can act somewhat charming and seductive, but that is mostly if she wants to lure someone into her clutches, not because she feels frisky or flirty. She is not opposed to just using her magic, but now and then a more subtle and playful way can be enjoyable. She knows that she is quite pretty, "sexy" as those modern folks would call it, despite (or due to?) her way of dressing and behaving. The duchess flaunts her looks a bit with her choice of attire, but not more than just hinting at her female features and teasing someone, as she sees the open display of sexuality and nudity as depraved.

Ironically, she has no problems of doing vile, twisted, even cruel things to her prey in private (mostly vorish related), although those would be way worse than showing too much skin in public. Emilia has been a cold, dangerous and borderline sadistic woman before, but ever since she learned vore, she absolutely indulges in those sinful cravings. She savors the feeling of living, human sized being digesting to sludge in her belly, and she has absolutely no remorse or mercy. To the contrary, she happily taunts and mocks her prey while processing them, or before swallowing them down. Emilia is quite greedy and predatory, often trying to find someone to coax into following her, so that she can strike in private. Not only does it feel good, but it's also vital for filling up her powers and energy - her body and her magical prowess gets nourished by the consumption of prey, and so she will do it again and again.

Duchess Emilia is quite a stunning sight. Although sometimes hidden behind posh, wide dresses, the girl sports some amazing curves. She stands at an average height, is very beautiful and has an amply developed, nicely shaped feminine build. Even without any magical means, Emilia has jaw-dropping hips, a slim waist and thick thighs, and a bubbly, jiggly rump. Her chest is not as developed as her lower body, but she still has nice C cup orbs. Emilia, despite physically being in her mid-thirties, has a pretty and lovely face and fair, relatively pale skin. She has lush green eyes and midnight-black hairs, that would reach almost down to her waist.

However, the duchess mostly ties her hair together in a topknot, seeing it as indecent to walk around in public with her hair falling openly behind her back - she believes that is meant to be something for prostitutes, ignoring the fact most people tend to think otherwise. Due to her magical ritual, Emilia is not physically aging anymore - it does not mean she is immortal or invulnerable, but rather, the normal aging process has just stopped. She is roughly fifty years old, but keeps the body of a (quite youthful) mid-thirties girl. Emilia is very fond of wearing jewlery and other adornments.

Similarly, she wears old-fashioned, decorated, expensive clothes. Her absolute favorite are early Victorian-aged themed dresses, which is interesting since those came into fashion 200 years after her original time. She probably picked it up in Nexus and thought of those as stylish and fitting for her, ordering custom-made pieces from the best tailors around. Her favorite color seems to be black, although she also wears dark blue, purple, gold, silver, red and green shades from time to time, all colors that were in some way said to be signs of nobility (maybe without the black). Her dresses often feature very tight and form-fitting, corset-like tops that really stress her curvy frame without actually revealing much of it.

Usually, a skirt-like part covers her lower body, sometimes allowing parts of her stocking-clad legs to show. She has more "casual" attires too, but doesn't wear them so often, at least not in public. Her undergarmets are frilly, silky pieces, usually in a white color, an odd combination of style and sexappeal. A habit she has picked up in Nexus is also to make herself appear more sensual by using lipstick (mostly, a red one), eyeliner, and other makeup.

Emilia's physical abilites are mostly like that of the average human. She has slightly improved strength, reflexes and durability, but she is not a brawler or a strong fighter. Her vorish skills are top-notch however, the girl easily able to gulp down prey larger than herself, and contain them in her muscular, resilient stomach to churn them away. As she sees other methods as "vulgar" and "dirty", she will not willingly use other methods apart from oral vore, although she is theoretically capable of doing so. However, one notable thing she can and will do is not only consume the body, but also the soul and essence of her prey. She absorbs all they are and can give her, nourishing herself while also powering up her magical reserves.

Although she has some powers, Emilia is not able to control her digestion or change the way her digestive system works. Not that she really would like to, she enjoys to have prey sizzling away in aggressive, painful juices and she doesn't mind if it takes some hours - more time to enjoy the blissful feelings. As stated before, her body doesn't physically age, as she has magical powers and performed a ritual to achieve that. Emilia is a sorceress and can use a variety of spells and incantations, from elemental attacks or defenses to transmutations. She also has some mind-controlling powers, but those mostly work on weak-willed persons.

Although many people consider words like "thou, thy" and so on to be "Old English", technically, that is called "Middle English" or sometimes "Early Modern English". Old English was spoken 1500 to 1000 years ago, and today, hardly anyone would even understand a single word of it. Middle English, used 500 to 400 years ago, is still old fashioned, but you typically can guess what is being said, as it sounds more or less similar. It was heavily used in the works of Shakespeare, which is a prominent example for that type of language.

Although there are (who would have thought) some exceptions, it mainly boils down to two things. Pronouns, and the alteration of verb endings, especially in present tense.

The singular pronouns that are affected are "you" (both in a subjectively, and objectively way), and the possessively used "your". Instead of the subjective "you" (You are filthy!), you say "thou". (Thou are a disgrace!)

Instead of the objective "you" (He called you a slut!), you use "thee" (He called thee a pig!).

And instead of the possessive "your" (Is this your book?), you use "thy" (Is this thy letter?).

To refer to someone (reflexive use), the pronoun "yours" (Is this horse yours?) gets replaced by "thine" (which is also used in the possessive plural form, see below) (Is this steed thine?).

For plural forms, the subjective "you" (You are a bunch of idiots!), you use "ye" (Ye are cowards!).

Interestingly enough, the objective "you" stays the same. (He called you all a bunch of idiots!)

And the possessive "your" (Are these your bags?), you use "thine" (Are these thine pens?).

For verbs, in second form in present tense, you add "st" or "est". (How darest thou? Dost thou thinkest that as well? Thou makest a good point).

For the third form in present tense, you add "th" or "eth". (God giveth, got taketh away. He hath a sword. That pig stinketh.)

These points are the most common ones, and enable you to easily understand this type of speaking. Notable other words include:

-whence instead of when
-nigh instead of near
-betwixt instead of between
-yea or aye instead of yes
-nay instead of no
-naught instead of nothing
