Lady Kymira of House Ravenmoore, heiress to the Duke ruling over the domain of Lockewall a small, but rich and therefore influential domain in the greater Kingdom. Rich, thanks to fairly recently discovered veins of the rare metal Trialyte, long thought to be useless until Kymira’s grandfather - a genius in his own right - finally managed to smelt it into an alloy that is both lightweight and supremely durable. The exact formula has become a closely guarded family secret since.
Spoiled little lady…
Kymira was born just when the money really started coming in and as the heir and granddaughter to Duke Ravenmoore, she was spoiled and given all the luxuries the family could afford while watching their brand new, impressive keep being built while growing up. Perhaps it really shouldn’t come as a shock that Kymira grew up to have a bit of an attitude. In some ways deserved, others… not so much. She’s smart, ambitious, and the only one alive who truly knows about all the secret passages around the castle. Perhaps somewhat in spite of her appearance, she knows her way around a forge and can work metal with the best of them, spending a of the time outside of her lessons about etiquette, statecraft and estate management with her grandfather in the forge.
She does have two brothers and one sister, but neither of them have inherited their grandfather’s genius, one of her brothers has taken to becoming a soldier, he’s her father’s favourite, but has ever been devoted to his sister, regarding himself as the strong arm at her side training with and as one of their Knights. Things are a bit more difficult with Kymira’s younger brother, who, without a clear role has always had a knack for getting into trouble and has taken it into his head that perhaps he would make for a better successor than his weird older sister and her freaky habits. Freaky habits? Oh, yes, we’ll be getting to those soon. He’s been spending much of his youth as a ward in the capital, a political play of the Duke, mistaken by her brother as a sign of favour. Lastly their younger sister who has been groomed from birth to one day be married off in a political move, beautiful like Kymira, she lacks the same spark and ambition. Kymira likes her well enough for keeping the suitors occupied.
Suitors? Yes, standing to inherit the lands and titles of her father, there are quite a number of young nobles who, either on their own volition or because of their family urging them to, tried courting Kymira. Talented as she might be, she appreciates her sisters seemingly endless capacity for drinking tea, eating small pastries and having even smaller talk while entertaining these young gentlemen.
