Kosuzu_Motoori

Kosuzu Motoori is one of the more sedate residents of Gensokyo (This this makes her, as a character, a fanalt of the Touhou Project series)... comparatively sedate. She lives in the Human Village and doesn't venture out overly far, and is somewhat tied down by running her house of books, Suzunaan. She so far hasn't been known to participate in danmaku battles either, though she may well have a spellcard or two just in case... nor does she involve herself in Incidents.

Wait. Back up on that.

Kosuzu does not involve herself in Incidents... that she did not inadvertently cause herself. You see, Kosuzu has an ability, like many residents of Gensokyo - hers, allows her to read and understand any text that she can physically handle, no matter what. Unfortunately for Gensokyo's stability, Kosuzu has no qualms whatsoever with reading Demon Books with that power. A Demon Book, while often specifically referring to a book with youkai essence - often an actual dormant youkai that sealed itself in there to survive the decline of fantasy - ultimately refers to any text that has magical energy and may even be dangerous to read. Mages' grimoires, living tomes... these are the soul of Kosuzu's collection.

The girl herself is also, even worse, the precise kind of person who doesn't care about the havoc wrought until it starts causing her trouble. Normally kind, polite, and friendly... Kosuzu nonetheless knows what she wants (usually, more books and more obscure ones at that), gets what she wants, and /does/ what she wants. She can be nearly smug in her confidence in her abilities and that she can handle the results, as well.

Either way, though... There are two /main/ ways to play with Kosuzu in a scene. Either setting a scene entirely in Gensokyo and leaving nothing significantly changed... or, well. Perhaps her reading the wrong book may have catapulted the entire library of Suzunaan into some outskirt of Nexus? Fellow Touhou characters will be recognized regardless of which setting is being operated in, though naturally given variance in player interpretations, only the barest of canonical interactions may really be shared before the entire scene goes in unpredictable directions!

If you're desperate for a scene hook, and don't have a Touhou fanalt that'd thus provide same-universe context to play off of... Well. You should already be able to guess that Kosuzu likes books! Maybe she wants to borrow the Octavo from its current holder and get a look-see? Or peer into the Appendix for a moment? If you have a magic book that isn't as /central/ to the alt as those two, she'd be intrigued! In the case of crossing over into other settings, Kosuzu would love to try out her ability to read things more futuristic than books and scrolls (I have already decided her ability functions perfectly on computer technology too), too.

As far as pre-existing relationships go... Kosuzu is probably on at least some kind of good terms with other residents of or visitors to the Human Village... is explicitly good friends with Akyuu... looks up to Reimu (even if she's sometimes suspicious of the "Youkai Shrine's Maiden")... and is also quite friendly towards Mamizou, though she has never seen her outside of a human disguise. If you want some yuri in your interactions, Kosuzu probably has a significant crush on Mamizou, and might even be the focal point of a love triangle with Akyuu as the other point (oh dear!).

Never/Dislike Kosuzu herself can't perform vore. She's also not /very/ aggressive, though she does have a fair amount of gall. Her books, however, might be quite dangerous... A pity she has no control over what their contents do.

Never/Dislike Kosuzu has a singular magic power like most Touhou characters do (albeit not one as broad or dangerous as most). She often makes it a point to collect blatantly magical books as well.
Underage Character Always/Love

Never/Dislike Kosuzu doesn't have a canon age nor really does ZUN provide half a clue as to even a rough ballpark. But she sure /looks/ young, so best to consider her underage for the sake of your preferences.
