The term kitsune brings to mind something different in everyone's mind... some see godlike beings, others see fuzzy degenerates. Sure, there are all types of kitsune, but here's a new one. A black fox kitsune, and a one-tailed one at that, Kokonoe-sama's story isn't so much tragic as it is a 'you reap what you sow' story.
See, Kokonoe's old. And she -was- ninetailed, a long time ago. But, she was mischievous to the extreme, and not just to humans. In fact, she might very well be the reason many mythical beings are rare today! Gluttonous and playful, her nine tails were generally used to constrict, strangle, and/or devour anything near her that caught her fancy. Those that didn't go into her tails went to her breasts or belly.
Eventually, the other magical creatures got pretty fed up with the fluffy kitsune culling their ranks. So, they conspired against her, and tried to kill her. This failed, as you can tell, since she's still here... but they did seal her power away, returning her to a smaller body and a single tail.
And what did she do? She -still- ate them, of course. See, the removal of the tails could only fractionalize her power... and one-ninth of her old power is still a friggin' crapload compared to even the most stalwart of beings.
So, really, she didn't change all that much. She's still playful and mischevious, but now it's even easier for her to get into things due to her smaller form and lack of proportionality (which starts a lot of conversations about her breasts that she ends... with her breasts. Via clobbering and/or smothering).
But, bear in mind that her power is locked behind a seal, and seals are made to be broken. She does it occasionally, but it is self-renewing, so it doesn't last long. Seal breaking can occur after an eating binge, or after she absorbs enough affection from someone who likes her.
Also, bear in mind that as powerful as she is, she can eat anything. Not just the physical, either. The spiritual, the abstract... all can be devoured and metabolised by this compact little pudgefox thing.
She's probably about four foot ten inches, but she weighs a decent amount... somewhere in the one-fifty range.
