The main protagonist, Kinomoto Sakura is the person who battles and captures the troublesome Clow Cards after having accidentally released them from their book, or maybe it should be called a seal. With the help of her magical friend Kero, her staff and her good friend Tomoyo who likes dressing her up in all kinds of both cute and slightly embarrassing costumes while capturing the cards she is able to collect them all, and eventually also turn them into Sakura Cards, while this means they draw power from Sakura herself she has also gotten more powerful of course. While Sakura was on a, let's call it a quest to collect and turn the Sakura Cards she was also the protective friend of Tomoyo who had a lack of magical abilities and ways of defending herself, if Tomoyo was in danger she'd dash right in to protect her dear friend in need, and while Tomoyo shows quite a bit of affection towards Sakura she is pretty unknown to the more...Romantic side of it, kind of like an oblivious child.

During her course of Clow Card collecting and Sakura Card conversion she fights Syaoran Li, who she slowly begins developing feelings for and falling in love with, and with no surprise he also begins returning those feelings due to how cheerful and happy Sakura always is.

Okay, let's get to the point without this sounding like some sort of lame summary of the series itself. Sakura is a cheerful girl fighting the Clow Cards and capturing them because they tend to wreak havoc, or at least causing trouble in the human world.
