Kifi

Kifi is a black, anubian jackaless, relatively tall at six foot five and sporting a decent amount of curve and softness. She holds her padding well, and it seems to cover her smoothly, keeping her pleasant and round. Her work attire is a knee length skirt and a collared shirt with the top button undone. For casuals she'd wear damn near anything, jeans you'd never expect her to fit into, comfy, baggy t-shirts. When she was on her day off she didn't seem to care. She was never without a rather simple but never-the-less impressive onyx scarab which decorated a slender collar she wore.

Probably living (technically 'unliving') proof that everywhere needed a secretary. Kifi headed up the waiting room of a particular locale, quite scenic, popular with the tourists. Where does she work? The underworld. No, really!

Kifi's race is that of a sect of anubian jackals, who live their lives as caretakers to the souls of the departed, helping them on their way to their next life or to their final resting place. Sometimes this meant dragging lost souls and the rebellious back with them - kicking and screaming. It could be anything from a high standing, cushy job to a down and dirty dog's job no one wanted to do. Kifi's kind of jackals are 'born' normally from poeple, not necessarily jackals or of any particular species - who died an unclean death. Poeple murdered unpleasantly or who died with regrets are offered a new life (unlife?) in and outside of the underworld.

It's usually tough to refuse, even if some didn't realize what they were getting themselves into. When faced with plunging into the unknown or a job being offered to you by a seemingly wise and calm chap, what would you pick, really?

For Kifi this hadn't been a problem. In fact, no one was sure why she was chosen (though her death had not been a pleasant one, naturally). Possibly due to damage to her memory or the way she was in life, Kifi is...impossibly bubbly and cheery, it seems. Faced with unlife and the frightening realities of life after death and lost souls, she just shrugged and went 'Kay!' and it all worked out. The jackals did need someone nice and friendly up front, truth be told. They later acquired more to do the same sort of job but Kifi was the secretary of the underworld. The first, the bubbliest, the cheeriest, the one with the nicest smile. Her bubbly attitude got on plenty of poeple's nerves, but she was just too useful to do without. Her superiors had even been shocked at how effective it could be to send her to the surface for recpaturing jobs, she fit right in with modern women and had plenty of tummy space for wayward souls.

Coupled with a rather simplistic, uncomplaining attitude about work meant that she was well treated, given plenty of time off, and would never be in danger of replacement (though punishment wasn't out of the question if she got -too- sidetracked). The living (or at the very least, their souls) are for the most part safe from her, the undead, recently dead and re-incarnated, however, best be careful she isn't under orders to send their souls packing back to where they belong! She'll still say please first, though, she's just that nice.

It should be noted, however, that like many secretaries, Kifi has a meaner side off the job, and has an ego and other whims to satisfy! Quite a two-faced woman, in fact...

All jackals of her kind are well equipped to do their job. Magically resistant, able to shift their sizes to limited degrees and disguise themselves in the living world. They certainly aren't invincible, but you wouldn't expect the grim reaper or his servants to be push overs, right? Kifi certainly isn't the most powerful among her kind, unless you count Words Per Minute as a special underworld power, but she's a tough dame.
