The life of a demon lord is not as easy as TV and anime would make you believe. Sure, you've got your own kingdom to rule with an iron fist, but you've also now got a crapton of responsibilities to uphold. And that's not even getting to the annual rebellions that occur with no proper schedule. That's a lotta work for one little demon! Fortunately, all he needs to do to get his strength back is a dose or two of candy. The only problem is, rebellions started rising up more frequently, and he's had to use up more and more energy as time goes on, until finally... his realm's candy supply ran out! With no other options, he had to shut down these new uprisings with what little energy he had left, then flee to find a new source of energy. ...Which is really difficult when you end up like

Completely drained of power, he had to lay low until he could recharge himself. During his self-imposed vacation, he found himself in the fabled world of humans. Knowing how ineffectual they were (supposedly) compared to demons, he figured this would be the perfect hiding spot until he can find some candy to replenish his strength. It was then that he saw something unbelievable: an entire
building filled with candy! With so many sweets, surely they wouldn't miss just
one piece... This is what the tiny tyrant thought before he scurried inside and snatched a chocolate bar. Having to go entire -days- without his sweet life fuel, he ravenously devoured the candy bar in a few bites, suddenly feeling incredibly energized and returning to
his natural form.
As it turned out, human world candy gave him even
more energy compared to the stuff he was used to. That day, he made a vow. He would return to the human world, take control of their candy reserves, and spread his empire, crushing all opposition in his way! ...That is, if he can remember to keep himself stocked on enough energy to actually transform. See, the image of the fearsome demon lord is actually one of his 'ascended' forms, used to keep up appearances and instill the proper amount of fear into his subjects, his 'true' form only known by his closest underlings.
...Well, this profile got this far, and we haven't even touched upon what the demon lord himself is like! As with most "young" demons, he's kind of a brat, and often just takes what he wants, be it money, food, or women. Still, beneath all of that terror, tyranny, and candy-lust, maybe there's a tiny bit of kindness in him.
...
Maybe.
