History:

Born to the noble Ilfeen house, Kestrel was marked as being mage-born from the age of six.

At nine, he was entered into the Losthaven Academy, just on the edge of his family holdings. He showed immediate talent, and a bright, burning passion for the first Law of Magic, that of Knowledge. Kestrel wanted to know more, always more, and insisted he wanted to be like his father, a 'protector and champion'. By the time he reached the age of 12, Kestrel had been noticed by the illustrious Archmage of the Silver Tower, one of six in the Nalvour Reaches, and arguably the most influential and powerful, his seat in the center of the capital city of Nalv.

Under Fistern's tutelage, Kestrel blossomed, advancing steadily past his peers, and proving to have a seemingly limitless capacity for improvement. On his sixteenth birthday, he was granted the honorary rank of 'mage', instead of the typical 'apprentice' status a student normally ranked. It turned out to be lucky that he had received that rank, along with his first rod, because during the summer break, on his return to Ilfeen Manor, an otherworldly assault, perpetrated by the dread sorceress Revari destroyed a good portion of Nalv, and he was forced to fight back monsters from his home, saving his family in the process.

Fistern, his mentor, gave up his life to protect the city and seal the portal that had brought the foul sorceress' minions here, and as his protege, the rank of Archmage, and the Silver Tower fell to Kestrel upon his graduation, after his completion of the Final Test.

Meant to judge the aptitude and character of newly-graduated mages, it is a grueling magical, mental and physical challenge. To this day, only Kestrel and his test-administrators know what his test involved, but he emerged a tempered, confident man of 22.

In the seven years since his graduation, Kestrel has strengthened his realm, allowed his Manor and holdings to prosper, and stopped two more extra planar assaults from other worlds. As is the custom of graduates of Losthaven, Kestrel hasn't cut his hair since his acceptance to the school, but for the occasional neatening trim. As a result, it falls well down his back, typically unbound, though he ties it into a slender tail when he goes into combat.

He favors loose, well crafted robes, originally Fistern's, though he's made them his own, and added a few protective spells and other enhancements to the garments. In addition to his robes, he wears a sash, tied around one shoulder and his waist in perfect style, proclaiming him Duelist Supreme of the mage-duel circles, and thereby a dangerous opponent.

Examples of the responsibilities of being an Archmage of the Silver Tower:
Defense of the realm, protection of the weak and innocent, teaching and tutoring aspiring mages, expanding the knowledge of his station, recovering and protecting any artifacts, particularly those that may be of danger in evil or inexperienced hands.

Preferences:
-Kestrel is designed for story/plot interaction purposes, first and foremost. He has some vore-based abilities, but not many, and is reluctant to use them.
-The mage is straight. Sorry fellas.
-Sex play, and other fetishy stuff are totally fine.
-Kestrel can easily be either pred or prey. Expect feisty prey if you intend to gobble him up.
-Any other questions, just ask.

The Laws of Magic

1-The Law of Knowledge: The more knowledge a mage possesses about an object, person, phenomena or creature, the more power the mage has over it.
1a-The Law of Self-Knowledge: Know Thyself. A mage must test and train until they are secure in their abilities.
2-The Law of Names: The full and complete knowledge of the name of an object, person, phenomena or creature allows complete control of it.
2a-The Law of Words of Power: Words given great cultural or social significance, typically titles or names, have great mystical power.
3-The Law of Association: Objects that can be considered representative of something larger can be used to craft effects on the larger whole. This law is also known as Sympathetic Magic.
3a-The Law of Similarity: An effect resembles it's cause, like is caused by like.
3b-The Law of Contagion: Things that have been in contact with one another continue to act upon each other mystically once parted. The bond grows stronger, the longer the contact had continued.
4-The Law of Identity: The more the mage knows about another entity, the closer it can imitate it. In cases of a strong association, the mage may almost become the second entity itself.
5-The Law of Opposites: Two conflicting or opposing ideas or pieces of data will produce a third, new idea, which is not a compromise of the first two.
6-The Law of Polarity: Anything can be separated into two opposite parts, each having it's own essence.
7-The Law of Infinite Data: There is always new information to learn, sources of knowledge are limitless if the mage chooses to tap them.
8-The Law of Finite Senses: A mage's senses are finite, able to only perceive a limited amount of information at a time. A mage should never be sure he possesses all the information needed to base a judgment on.
9- The Law of Infinite Universes:Each entity perceives the universe differently. No two people see it in the same way, and if they do, they comprehend it differently. Therefore, there are an unlimited number of universes, created by differing viewpoints.
9a-The Law of Pragmatism: If it works, it's true.
9b-The Law of True Falsehoods: If it is a paradox, it is probably true.
