Being adventurous never did anyone any harm, did it?
Kerri's life in the park only began recently, having been brought over by a portal that briefly opened near her. Finding the unusual opening, her curiosity overwhelmed her initial surprise and apprehension, how did this happen? What didn't help was that the portal only stayed open until she passed completely through, stranding her on the other side. The worst place possible. She has no idea now what she's going to do with herself, or where she's going to sleep, or go. She even has no idea what really goes on in this place she found herself. Will she discover in time?
On her arrival, she headed off toward what she thought might have been where someone might live, a cabin in the middle of the forest. However when she entered it, there was no-one in sight, and no evidence that anyone did indeed live there. For now it seemed that she at least had some shelter, though she hoped that whoever lived there wouldn't come back too soon. Or at all.
