Introduction:

Kate rushed into the back room and yelled at the cook. The tickets were getting out of control. “What the hell Frank?” she yelled. “Fuck you Kate, were working as fast as we can.” Frank replied. That about tore it. If she wasn’t so busy she’d have given him a piece of her mind. She didn’t have time for that now though, the morning rush was in full swing. She grabbed the coffee pot. Old people loved coffee, the zombies.

She reached her first table, “Hello Mrs. Creedy, can I freshen you up a bit?” she said in her sweetest voice. “Oh.. why thank you dear that would be swell.” Mrs. Creedy replied. Of course she will have another cup. At this point her whole damn body must be comprised of coffee. She smiled with something that could have easily been mistaken for genuine and filled the older woman’s cup. “Thank you deary.” Said the older woman. “My pleasure, you just let me know if I can get you anything else, ok?” Kate said with a smile. “EXCUSE ME WAITRESS!? CAN I GET SOME DAMN WATER OVER HERE?” a fat man said at a table with his family. Oh this bastard… Kate thought. “Of course sir, just one moment and I will be right there!” she said in her friendly waitress voice.

She made her way back to the kitchen. “Frank, I need the eye drops. We got another asshole on our hands…” she said once she reached the privacy of the kitchen doors. It’s a well known trick of the industry that a few eye drops in someone’s drink will have them on the pot for the rest of the day.. Frank tossed her the eye drops just as she finished filling up the water glass. “Fucking bastard..” she muttered under her breath, thinking about the disgruntled customer. “Thanks hun!” she said to Frank.

Character/Description:

Kate is a waitress at the Dunwich Diner in Providence. It’s hard to tell if years of being a waitress has made her such a hard ass, or if it’s just who she is anymore. People can always act so spoiled when they don’t get what they want. Kate is normally seen wearing her brown waitress uniform, with her signature bubble gum pink hair and ruby red lipstick. She can be a very friendly person, but she has a little patience for idiots, assholes, or anyone else making her life more difficult.

She grew up in Providence and is not a transplant like the majority of people coming through town have been lately. Most of her friends work at the Dunwich Diner with her. She has a small house down the road from the diner, which she shares with her high school sweet heart RobbieDericks a local barber.

The Dunwich Diner itself is a hallmark of Providence. If you’re looking to get some delicious diner food in town this better be your first stop. The place has been around probably as long as Providence, named after the small town that mysteriously vanished over 100 years ago. Technically, the town was still around… just all the people went missing. The diner was reopened by the fine citizens of Providence and has been a local favorite for decades. Just don’t expect to get your food anytime quick.

If you are interested, we can roll dice just before digestion begins. We will call this time the struggle. During the struggle Kate will get anywhere from 1-3 attempts at escaping with a 1d6. The pred will always roll a 3d6. If Kate wins any roll she may be allowed to escape the pred’s belly. (These numbers can be modified/played with depending on the pred.)
