Julia 'Jules' von Brandt wasn't always a micro. Nor was she always an elf, or magical! She was once just your typical, if nerdy, teenager. She had a bit of a temper, but she managed to keep a cool head when she needed to. She was always interested in fantasy and medieval settings, especially those that involved magic. But it got her into trouble..
One night, someone came to her door in a heavy downpour, looking for help to get out of the storm. Julia, angered by her parents leaving her at home while they went out, slammed the door in his face. This man ended up being a very powerful wizard, and he placed a curse upon her! Now, she's not only a micro, which is bad, but magical, which is an advantage! The magic has begun to infuse her body, though, paling her skin to an ashy white, while her ears have become long and pointed. She currently wears a tattered rag around her body for modesty, but due to her curse, often has to replace the clothes.
Yes, just being a micro isn't her curse..she has been cursed to be a light source for the larger folk. As such, she's often seen sitting in an old kerosene lamp, head aflame, giving off a brilliant light.
Oh, and her height is fairly variable based on magic, though usually no more than a foot. It all depends on what flame source she's needed for.
