Human form

Josh's normal form, but surprisingly the one that you are less likely to see him in. He is very in tune with his wolf form, and as such is more commonly seen as such.

He has medium length, messy, black hair and blue eyes. He doesn't put too much thought into his clothes, as of course they don't matter when in his wolf form, but as a human he typically wears average things. Such as a simple black t-shirt and jeans. One thing he is always wearing though is a silver necklace with a small, half moon wrapped in thorns at the end. The chain is pretty long and loose on him though, which at times can look kind of odd, and he usually keeps it hidden in his shirt. This is so, when he changes forms, he doesn't end up choking himself

He has a thin, jagged scar that run across the skin over his left eye that he received from a fight with his sister. It's pretty faded by now though

Feral Wolf form

Josh's favorite form, and most commonly seen in. He is on the larger size of wolf's, but is more fur than muscle. His fur is black, but with a slight blue tint when it catches the light. It's pretty shaggy and thick, especially in the colder months. His eyes remain the same shade of blue as when in his human form, giving him a fairly striking appearance.

The only accessory he retains when changing forms is his necklace. The chain fits slightly loose, but not as loose as his human form, as it was specially made to fit him as a wolf. The chain can stretch somewhat as well, made so that it will not get in the way when swallowing prey as well. The catch on the necklace isn't that hard to work off, and was likely made so it would undo and fall off if there is too much stretching in his throat. If that happens, he will simply just carry it with him until he's finished digesting.

Anthro Form (Alternative)

He can alternatively be in this form, which is basically just a mix of his human and feral attributes. Just give me a heads up if you'd prefer this form, or sometimes I do like to exclusively play in this. Depends on my mood, I guess

Background:

At a young age, Josh left home. His relationship with his parents used to be very good, but he started to become more distant as he was slowly leaving his childhood behind. He doesn't like to admit it, but it was partially due to jealousy of his little sister. Deciding that he would much prefer to live on his own, he left around the age of 12. Of course he was looked for, but he was fairly good at hiding himself and after years went by, sent out a pretty clear message that he had no intentions of returning home.

He spent a good amount of time living on his own in the woods, and ended up spending the majority of that time in his wolf form. He became more accustomed and started behaving more like a wolf, learning as he went and so these skills were a great asset to him and improved greatly as he lived on his own. One thing he discovered was that he had a pretty large appetite.

After few years spent on his own, he was still fairly well well and wasn't a bad hunter, but maybe a little more malnourished than a boy his age should be. One day out of boredom, he attempted to swallow a small rabbit he had managed to catch and was surprised to find that he could - easily even. Surprised and excited at his new discovery, he tried to catch and swallow much bigger prey to practice and test his limits. He found that not just his jaws and throat were very flexible, but also his stomach. Eventually this became his one way of eating prey, as he enjoyed it very much - especially the squirmy kind.

As years passed, one day Josh stumbled upon a lost girl in the woods. Since he had lived so long on his own and deep in the woods, most of which spent as a wolf, he wasn't quite sure what to make of her. His appearance was no doubt wild, and he would likely frightened her, so he stalked her unawares as the girl became increasingly scared of her surroundings. Josh eventually became quite hungry, and the girls scent surprisingly was very appealing. He was wary about even thinking about eating a human, but his hunter instincts soon took over and before he knew it, he had the caught the girl. She had proved to be much more of a challenge than his earlier prey, but soon he was resting with a bulging, squirming belly and had found her to be his best meal yet.

After that meal, Josh almost set out in search of more people to eat on purpose. Not just humans either, but every once in awhile he'd stumble across a furry as well. After awhile of doing this, and much debate, he decided to follow where the scent of one of his recent meals would take him. He ended up traveling for awhile, but came across a fairly large city that he had heard about years ago.

It had been so long since he'd stayed in his human form for any amount of time, and he was craving for a bit of excitement, so he decided he'd try to spend some time in the city. Only problem - he had nothing to his name, and by now his clothes were long gone. He ended up catching and swallow some poor sap and stole his money and clothing. It wasn't much - but it was a start. This also started to become a habit of Josh's, and he became a thief of sorts.

He lived out on the streets, staying wherever he could, and stealing whatever he pleased. His favorite thing to do was pretend to be a poor stray and make people sorry enough to at least stop to give him a pet - which in turn would led them to being swept away from prying eyes. He mostly strikes at night, and he will also break into houses - usually ones that have only one or a couple people living in it, to first consume them and then proceed to raid their house.

As the years went by, he had come across other thieves and made a bit of a name for himself. Most wouldn't like to admit it, but they did fear and so respected him. His raided loot would be sold to a man famous for buying off stolen goods, and Josh ended up being one of his favorite and closest customers. Of course, Josh couldn't do this sort of thing too often if he wanted to avoid detection, so breaking into houses was a once and awhile deal. He's of course on more than one occasion had to deal with the police, but he hasn't been locked up once yet.

In the present, he does have a place or two of his own, but low profile and he doesn't stay there too much. If they are detected by the police, he won't hesitate to abandon it and find somewhere new. In fact, he still prefers to be out in about and even will return to the woods for an extended amount of time. He's built up some "friends" over the years, but Josh still prefers to be on his own most of the time.


Personality:

Josh is usually very quiet and withdrawn, and so sometimes he can seem intimidating and to some people a little scary. He doesn't unnecessary do this on purpose, he just likes to be within his own thoughts and generally doesn't like too much communication with others - in fact, he barely as anyone that he can truly call a friend. He kind of prefers it this way though, as then there's no one to worry about other than himself.

Because in fact, Josh can be kind of nice if you can get past his wall and try to get to know him a bit better. It's just that usually people find him kind of odd, or are scared of his sometimes wolfish behavior.

Since he is so in-tune with his wolf form, he retains some of this things while in his human form - such as he has extremely sharp hearing, good night vision, and a strong sense of smell. He can tend to annoy people without meaning to sometimes with eavesdropping on their conversations, especially if his name is mentioned.

So in all in all he's not a bad guy - when he's not hungry, that is. His quiet demeanor will change and he absolutely loves to toy with his prey. A good chase he always finds is a great game to play, and if he can he loves to take his time and savor swallowing his prey. He won't hurt them usually, if he can avoid it, but he loves a good struggle. Willing prey he always thought were odd - I mean, he was going to eat them, weren't they afraid of dying? But he won't deny a free meal, of course. If they truly want to take a trip to his gut, he's completely happy to oblige.
