Jolgotha

(Please note that the picture in this profile isn't exactly what Jolgotha looks like; just a general idea of how I picture him/it.)

Jolgotha is part of a species of giant tentacle monster, easily four to five times the size of the average human. Its form is that of a large blob of off-pink/purplish flesh, with at least three and as many as twenty very long tentacles on hand at all times. Its most common behavior involves laying carefully-prepared ambushes for passersby through the use of said tentacles, which, among being powerful constrictors, have the ability to eject small amounts of a clear liquid that acts as a very powerful calming agent when ingested. Some also possess the ability to eject a thin but potent aerosol of pheromones into the surrounding area that both slightly suppress survival instincts and greatly stimulate sexual arousal.

While Jolgotha grows at a slow but steady rate, it most quickly gains size and power by consuming and absorbing flesh into its mass, which is a relatively simple matter for Jolgotha since it can easily swallow most human-sized prey head to toe in a few quick gulps. However, Jolgotha has another reason for hunting humanoids, females in particular: It can only reproduce parasitically.

When it finds a suitable mate, it first proceeds as normal by incapacitating her through the use of its tentacles and calming drugs. It then implants a clutch of up to a dozen eggs in her womb, each of which attach to her body and feeding off its nutrients just like a normal human baby would. The gestating tentacle monsters also introduce a stream of their own hormones into the host's system in exchange, which make their way to and bathe her mind, steadily changing it to the point where she will crave Jolgotha's embrace again and again. To ensure the eggs are safe for the gestation period, Jolgotha often 'swallows' the female, and re-molds its own interior flesh around her to create an incubation pod, where she will sleep for as long as she carries the eggs to term, which generally takes about two to three weeks depending on how healthy and young she is.

Also, should Jolgotha manage to capture a host with their own powers -- like, say, a magical girl -- there exists the possibility of Jolgotha's children absorbing some of those traits from their mother as they gestate within her womb, which can lead to said baby tentacle monsters gaining her powers.

Sometimes, Jolgotha will release hosts back into the world after at least their first birthing, giving them the directive to smuggle his/its progeny to where more potential hosts are, and have them feed, grow, and repeat the whole process.
