Johanna_Ravensdale

Rework in progress as of 28.04.2014, mostly done.
The Spacebear needs more work: Modules and weapons need purchase costs, some descriptions need to be improved and there is one last small weapon missing.

I got a lot of inspiration for this profile from Keeper_Mara. If you are looking for a fantasy based approach on this topic, make sure to take a look at her dungeon and do not be afraid to say hello when you see her online. She is really friendly and nice to talk to.

If you get confused by all the numbers in this profile, do not bother with them. They are mostly to help me keep the development somewhat balanced. If you have any questions though, feel free to ask.

How to play:
Johanna can be either played in this predefined setting, or in any other. There is no need to play in this setting in all cases.
When playing in this setting, there are a few options to choose from. Own suggestions are always welcome too, of course. The basic idea of this profile is focused on enslavement and selling the poor victims off for profit to exand Johanna's possibilities and options. Capturing her targets can be either physical in the old fashioned way (binding, forced cooperation by aiming a gun at people, ...), by tricking them to come along willingly, or by vore. Willing or unwilling sexual aspects can be included, but are not necessary; some setups will exclude and others will include it by default. Female characters can be shemale if preferred. Please clarify what you want beforehand.

- Planetside capture: Can be either a hunt or an ambush on a planet. The biggest difference to the other versions is, that much more NPCs are involved here and the approach has to be somewhat camouflaged in public. It will be more subtle. Usually only attempted for high value single targets.
- Ship assault: Attacking a target ship with the Spacebear (see below), in an attempt to capture as many of the people on board alive as possible. This can include a more or less complex space fight, but ships will be targeted with a managable size dependant on Johanna's own current spacecraft.
- Base defense: Somebody did not like what Johanna is doing and sends mercenaries, headhunters or even the Space Patrol after her. They located the hideout and are trying to invade to capture her. She has a few tricks up her sleeve though, and the hunters might end up being the hunted.

Materials & Income:
- Interstellar Credits (IC): The general money source of Johanna and common currency in the Cydonian Cluster.
- Zrbite: A biological / mineral power source of golden appearance, worth 400 IC per stack of 5.
- Aqua Plastics: A flexible building material with a blue-ish appearance based on Zrbite, worth 300 IC per stack of 10.
- Elerium 115: One of the most efficient but highly instable mineral power sources known, worth 500 IC per stack of 5.
- Alien Alloys: A very durable, metal looking building material based on Elerium 115, worth 200 IC per stack of 10.
- Standard slave: A normal slave is worth round about 500 IC when sold in the Cydonia Cluster.
- Exotic slave: Exotic slaves with a larger size, unusual appearance, extra limbs, wings, etc., can realize much higher prices. They are worth 1500 IC.
- Trained slave: If a slave has received a training to specialize either for work or entertainment, its worth is incraesed by 500 IC.

The Den is Johanna's base on Balda 7-3, a swamp planet in the Cydonian Cluster. Once built as a research facility by the Interstellar Hydroponics Incorporated to attempt a recolonization after the total destruction of the planet's environment by chemical weapons during the Confederation Wars, the facility was abandoned as the participating governments and companies ceased the funding of the project. The costs turned out to be much higher than expected and Balda 7-3 was short on natural resources which would have been worth to deplete, so the project was eventually stopped.
The IHI had achieved a partial success in the recultivation of the planet however, and where once only acid and wasteland covered the surface, wide areas of marshland, swamps and mangrove forests can be found these days. Plant and animal life is either very tough and acclimatised to the harsh environment, leading to very frugal species with slow, long life cycles - or extinct. Acid clouds drift through the atmosphere and corrode lungs and skin of any foreign species unfortunate enough to land on this planet without a suitable protection, and drinkable water is scarce.

Currently built:
- Cell block (1): A functional arrangement of old fashioned prisoner cells. Once used to safely contain the first animals for the recultivation attempt of Balda 7-3, they function nowadays as a storage for slaves, intruders and other captives of Johanna.
- Life support (1): The life support system includes the ventilation system, pressure equalisation, energy generation and tap water supply, and is spread out through the whole base.
- Private quarters (9): Johanna's very own, private rooms. The furniture is simple and spartan, leftovers from the biologists and other scientists who had lived there some decades ago, only enhanced by a few personal pieces from the new owner.
- Radar station (1): A combination of high-developed radar, ladar and sonar systems to locate and classify any movement in the nearby space around the planet. This room also contains the starboards and digital surface maps of Balda 7-3.
- Reformation chamber (9): The high-tech equipment in the room behind the thick airlock of Alien Alloys is capable of reforming a perished minion or slave of Johanna at the cost of (1) Zrbite. The machines use highly unstable procedures to reconstruct the lost body and are easily damaged by external force.
- Spaceport (1): The landing pad was once used to deliver supplies or new personnel to the laboratory via drop pods, and heavy repairs were needed to make it accessible for normal space ships. Now an arrangement of light and smoke signals ensures a safe landing even during bad weather, and the heavy platform of Alien Alloys prevents the touched down spacecraft from sinking into the swamp.

The Spacebear is the starship used by Johanna and her followers to capture new slaves and bring them back to the base. Every ship will include the necessary life support systems and engines to operate by default. Any modules or weapons purchased are stored and can be swapped with others as long as the ship is docked at the base. To upgrade the ship size, it will be necessary to upgrade the spaceport of Johanna's base. Only humanoid races which are available at Johanna's base can also be hired as crew members, and the available cargo space limits the amount of slaves which can be brought back to the base after a mission.

Current starship:
- Scout class: A small, unarmed space craft fuelled by Elerium 115. Fast and agile, scout ships are often used to travel short distances very quickly or transport minute, high value goods.
- No modules
- No weapons

Ship classes, from small to big:
- Scout: Has space for one crew member, one piece of cargo, one module, no weapons, requires a spaceport with the size of (1).
- Frigate: Has space for one crew member, one piece of cargo, two modules, one set of small weapons, requires a spaceport with the size of (3).
- Corvette: Has space for two crew members, two pieces of cargo, two modules, one set of small weapons, requires a spaceport with the size of (5).
- Destroyer: Has space for three crew members, two pieces of cargo, three modules, one set of small and one set of large weapons, requires a spaceport with the size of (9).
- Cruiser: Has space for four crew members, three pieces of cargo, four modules, two sets of small and one set of large weapons, requires a spaceport with the size of (13).
- Battleship: Has space for six crew members, four pieces of cargo, five modules, three sets of small and two sets of large weapons, requires a spaceport with the size of (19).

Ship modules:
- Cargo extension: The cargo extension grants enough space for one additional piece of cargo. Which in most cases will be a new slave.
- Cloaking device: The cloaking device enables the ship to conceal itself, as long as it moves only on low speed. Accelerating or firing any weapons breaks the cover and reveals the ship. Requires a Twi'lek as a crew member.
- Double reactors: The double reactors increase the energy output and shield strength of the craft, and also work as a backup for the case that the first reactor should go offline. Requires a Human crew member.
- Improved engines: The improved engines enhance the speed and maneuverability of the ship. Requires a Human crew member.
- Quarters expansion: The quarters expansion provides enough space for one more crew member to live on the ship.
- Shield generator: The shield generator creates an energy field around the ship to strengthen its defenses. Especially useful against energy weapons, except for the Ion Particle Beam. Requires an Asari crew member.
- Spore containers: The spore containers are needed for the storage of spores of non-sentient minions like the giant amoeba, tentacle swarm and women-eating plant. Requires the respective species to be available at the base.
- Targeting system: The targeting system greatly enhances the aim of any armament by advanced subroutines guiding the weaponfire right into the target. Requires a Tau crew member.
- Teleporter: The teleporter provides an easy way to get the boarding party onto the other ship - given that the shields are down and the target is uncloaked. So aiming for the engine or reactor room first might be a good idea. Requires a Sectoid crew member.

Weapon systems:
- Laser Battery (small): While not doing great damage overall, this weapon excels in hitting precise spots or very fast moving, small targets. Can be calibrated for defensive purposes, to target incoming missiles and torpedoes.
- Missile Launcher (small): This launcher fires heat seaking missiles at the target craft. They can still hit concealed targets as long as they are moving, but fail to lock onto ships where most of the energy has been shut down. More likely to hit the engines or reactor rooms.
- Spore Launcher (small): Enables the option to penetrate the hull of the target ship with a small, hard shell, which explodes in a cloud of rapidly developing amoeba / plant / tentacle spores once inside. The hole is small enough to be sealed off by normal life support systems. Spore containers of the respective species are needed to use this weapon.
- One more small weapon, need to think about the function.
- Fusion Lance (large): A continuous beam of high energy, which wrecks havoc on any ship it hits, cutting through plated armor like butter. However, it is unable to penetrate shields, as they deflect the high energy effectively.
- Ion Particle Beam (large): Where the Fusion Lance excels at piercing armor, the Ion Particle Beam is the best choice if set up against quickly recharging shields. It not only dissolves the energy field of the target and drains the reserves, but also has a good chance to damage the ship's engines and reactor.
- Plasma Cannon (large): The choice of brute force. Not as effective as the Fusion Lance when set up against tough armor and not as excellent as the Ion Particle Beam for deactivating shields, but in exchange dealing equal damage to both plating and shields. Given enough time, this weapon obliterates any ship.

+
--
Never/Dislike So-so on this one. It's not a necessary thing, but I can go with it.

+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike This is related to in-scene reforming. Out of scene is always fine.
Endo Always/Love
+
--
+
--

Never/Dislike Always a good classic.
Unbirthing Always/Love
+

+
--
+
--
Never/Dislike Both good for pred and prey.
