McCree is an outlaw and vigilante renegade, currently working as a gunman for hire. His sense of judgement is the driving force behind his talent; many seek him out for his revered gunslinging skills, but he only accepts jobs that align with his views of justice, no matter how big or small. He was once a member of a notorious weapons trafficking gang, but he now only seeks to amend these past sins. His mastery of the gun, particularly his revolver named the Peacekeeper, is a skill he takes much pride in. He can clear a room out in a matter of seconds, and reload in half that time. He also keeps a regular supply of flashbang bombs on him, ready to stun and apprehend any evil-doers when the need arises.
McCree's attitude is cordial and quite charming; his entire character, including his wardrobe, is fully inspired by old-time Western-American culture- particularly cowboys. He's a southern gentleman through-and-through, with a fairly thick accent and vernacular to follow suit. He is rarely seen without a cigar in mouth, and it's unheard of to catch him without his hat on. Being born and bred in the American southwest, McCree is a rather large and somewhat chubby man who will eat just about anything. He also has a well-known habit of being able to keep a conversation going for hours, perfectly happy to jump from subject to subject and chew out the ear of whoever will listen to him.
