A cute mermaid! Half vertebrate fish (seems to be an eel from the stretching capabilities and long tail), half human. She usually stays around where it's dark during the day, not enjoying the sunlight and preferring the cooler yet not freezing waters. Her tail is approximately ten feet long, while the upper human half is about three feet in length. She often covers her chest in a woven cup of dark seaweed.

She's an accomplished hunter. She’s can pick up vibrations and heartbeats in the water, able to smell blood in the water, and release a sort of static shock to stun an enemy for a short period. Jen’s smart enough to recognize what creatures are and knows when to flee. Her tactics show she’s somewhat mature, and she is! She's about six - a year or two past the matured age for her species.

She has some bioluminescent glands in her fins that can make them glow a bright, deep red. Her eyes have the same thing, but with a deep and enchanting yellow. Both of these work as lures to draw in food in the dark places.

Jen has no physical problem breathing in air so long as she’s moist, but despite having the physical capacity, she still doesn't like to do that very much. What more is obvious is that she’s almost useless when moving on land. Like most aquatic creatures, she prefers the marine environments she’s lived in.

If she sees a creature she doesn’t recognize, she’ll be defensive at first and prepare herself to flee, but she’ll observe what or who is in front of her. Non-aquatic humanoids will get a more reclusive version of Jen, where she'll instead try to hide herself away first. If she decides it’s harmless, she may get physical and touchy.

Sometimes she'll swim into a Cherished_Respite.
