~~~Background~~~

Born in Nexus City's Outlands, Jasiri is a female spotted hyena whom was raised up in a smaller hyena clan that had migrated across the frontier for years. She was always a bit different and clever. Many wild animals evolved over the past several hundred years, and Jasiri's clan is no exception, though she was unique in that her intelligence was on par with that of a human's rather than a feral anthromorph. Capable of speech, and understanding the importance of having allies, she became a respected member in her large family and a friend to nomads and tribes that lived in the frontier outlands outside of Nexus City. But as time went on, a new leader was needed, and the clan couldn't accept any other. She lead them into Nexus City where they now thrive within the Rainforest District where they have been living for the past 4 years. Currently Jasiri is a full grown hyena and the leader of a 45 strong clan of highly intelligent hyenas whom are at peace with most of the denizens of Nexus City. And while they are relatively friendly, they won't hesitate to make a meal out of someone or something when necessary.


~~~Personality~~~

Unlike the more wild feral creatures who live in the Nexus Wilds, Jasiri is friendly and open to making friends with the humans and anthromorphs. However, her tie to her species shines through in how often she laughs, people who don't know any better often noting that the world is like a giant game to her. Bold, spunky, and snarky, Jasiri is a hyena through-and-through, but unlike the other clans whom roam the Savannah and Jungle districts, she is a friendly.

A natural leader, Jasiri has charisma that can sway those around her and rally them to her cause. This extends even to less intelligent ferals incapable of speech. While she has a sharp wit and tends to make fun of her enemies, she is not arrogant nor stupid. Her deductive reasoning skills and ability make judgment calls is on par with most sentient beings, having a human like intelligence. She enjoys playing with the pups of her clan, is willing to help lost and or injured travelers, and will only actively hunt when hungry shows her humility and agreeable nature. That being said she is still a wild animal and as such her instincts can run rampant, especially during mating season.

Jasiri differs from her kind by looking past differences and focusing on where different species have common ground and noting how what they have in common makes them the same in a way that not only advocates peace and harmony but also how some very different species can be allied together despite their differences. According to her, unlike more savage hyena clans and vicious beasts, most hyenas, especially hers, respect life and all it has to offer and are in fact actually disgusted by hyenas whose selfishness and gluttony give their species a bad reputation. She especially despises anyone who disrespects her clan, or her allies.


~~~Physical appearance~~~

Jasiri is a fairly small and slim spotted hyena, though she displays strength when fighting other clans or dealing with potential threats. She has gray fur that bears a slight purplish gray tint. Her lower legs and paws are a very dark shade of gray, and her underbelly is a dull grayish cream color. Her tail is short and bicolored gray and black; most of it is like her paws, but the fur on the very bottom is much paler, the same color as her underbelly. Her eyebrows and ears both match the color of her mane and paws, and her inner ears are dull pinkiah gray. On each side, she has several round spots, slightly darker than her main coat color, lined up vertically from her shoulder to the joint of her foreleg. Two smaller spots fleck her face on either side, and she has darker stripes along her neck as well as a streak along her spine. Her muzzle is the same color as her spots. She has large, deep blue eyes, encircled by darker fur, and a dark black mane. Her mane is long and thick, with a lock in the front on her head leaning toward her nose.


~~~Abilities~~~

Animal Strength: Jasiri is a very strong hyena; she is shown to have very strong legs. She can kick, gallop, and easily pin down opponents or prey larger than herself. And when that isn't enough, her jaws are remarkably deadly with a vice like grip that can crush bones with ease.

Skilled Combatant: Being a leader of a hyena clan means she must be a very capable fighter. She is very resourceful when fighting to kick up dust to block her opponent's vision, or to use her surroundings and natural advantages over others. She knows how to use her strengths and is aware of her weaknesses.

Intelligence: Jasiri is very intelligent and witty and is generally very clever. She can and will utilize her environment to her advantage when it comes to hunting. She may not have hands but she can still manipulate things with her jaws, making very basic rudimentary shelter out of sticks, leaves, and nearby stones, fallen logs, or rocks as a basic foundation. She knows leverage is important, and is a skilled negotiator when she wants to be, and a manipulative huntress when she has to be.
