James Marson's a simple enough sort of man. Straightforward, aye, and knows what he wants. How to get it, too, often enough. Fella's one of the best mercs in our employ. Does good work, doesn't complain much, tends to keep to himself. I'd just suggest not going near him with any sort of open flame, or explosives. The man loves his explosions.
James is a simple fellow, as stated. A mercenary by trade, he works for the highest bidder, unless he's got a moral objection... in which case he'll work for a lower bidder who'll let him work with a lot of things that go boom. A fair hand with a gun, and a better one with any sort of explosive, he's the company's demoman. He makes the charges, sets them up, sets them off. Typically, it gets the job done. And if there's a spot of gunwork to be done, well, the man has a few nasty surprises of his own. And he's great for fortifying an area. So I suppose he's more of a combat engineer.
Born about twenty-seven years ago, James came into life hard. It was a difficult birth, and his mother was sick for some time after. And as he grew up, life just got harder. Working for his family was never easy, though he didn't mind... however, when, one day, he found some fireworks... he got more than a bit interested in other things. He discovered a love for explosives, and for fire, and, well.... certain other things took him away. His parents let him go, to rent his room to someone else, and he hit the road... and fell off the map for more than ten years. He emerged, briefly, during a period of civil unrest, then vanished again.... emerging a few years later, yet again, as a member of a private mercenary company, working as a lieutenant. He's not the highest on the food chain, but that suits him just fine, because those who're higher than him know that it's best NOT to piss off your demoman.
At present? Well. He won't tell you if he's working or not, and it doesn't make much difference? he acts the same, wherever he is. He's not an undercover guy, he's the guy who makes shit blow up.
