I'm sure your asking what she is referring to.

There lies in a story. Little Jahida was a new Djinni, fresh from the bottle when this little tale begins. She had a wonderful life learning her craft in the Djinn's home dimension and someone had finally found her lamp in one of those old antique shops, standard Djinni fare for being summoned for a wish, of course.

The person who got her was a bit of an 'Arabophile', so the wish the silly man actually had for her was 'I want you to belly dance for me til i say otherwise.' Mostly it was because he figured that was all he could really get away with, when it came to the young Djinni, as she had told him the rules beforehand. So, being the young thing she was, she accepted the wish, figuring he'd eventually get sick of it. Besides, wishes like this were worth the most in energy, so she couldn't resist taking it up ( More on that later)

See, she forgot to make sure -he- worded the wish that would give her an out if she wanted it. So needless to say, as she was about 30 minutes into her lovely dancing, a greedy man stabbed the lamp owner in the back of the head and stole the lamp. This -normally- would stop the wish from happening, if Jahida had insisted the man worded the wish correctly.

...you can see the problem with a wish being 'I want you to belly dance for me til I say otherwise' right? The wisher has to say when she can stop, and he flat out died. Now, of course all wishes have a shelf life at some point, but she had made the wish at such a young age, she put -way- too much of her power into it. Needless to say, unless someone figures out the correct way to word a wish that null and voids the first wish, she'll probably be dancing and swaying her cute hips for the next 1000 years.

There -are- caveats of course. Wishes that supersede the first wish are performed without dancing, as she has to fulfill the wishes in the order she receives them, most recent to least recent, but someone -can't- wish to stop another wish. It's part of the rules.

What are the rules you might ask? Well

The Rules

Wishes are a contract that are fulfilled to the delight or dismay of the contractor, and upon granting said wish, a Djinn or Djinni is given payment in the form of energy from the contractor, directly equivalent toward the duration and magnitude of the wish. Said energy is a form of currency in her home world, as well as gives her the ability to grant her own -wishes-, binding under their own sets of rules she is not allowed to reveal

The rules for wishes are as follows.

1. Wishes cannot break the laws of physics.
2. Wishes are performed as said, period. Subtlety is not recommended.
3. Wishes directly involving Jahida can be -refused- outright, but only at the time of the wish.
4. The number of wishes are determined by the scale of said wishes. Incredibly intricate or changing wishes will cause you to have -less- wishes.
5. Wishes CANNOT directly interfere with other wishes.
6. Wishing cannot bend the free will of -others-. She can make a suggestive thought to a person to love someone, but she cannot make a person -do- something without consent.
7. You CANNOT wish someone back from the dead. Death is handled by other supernatural beings. You -can- wish to be brought before the Judge of the dead to try and request someone be brought back.
8.After the final wish, you are -unable- to make more wishes once you've had all your wishes fulfilled, unless Jahida -literally- wants to give you one, but that would directly reduce her payment for granting a wish.

Personality

Beyond those swaying hips and undulating body. She is a fairly nice and easygoing girl. She doesn't go out of her way to trick people with bad wishes, just to make money off of people's stupidity, and she generally tries to go along with whomever her Master or Mistress is and what their desires are, to a point. Mind you, she -hates- it when people make frivolous wishes that involve herself, and tends to refuse most all of them, even if it stops her from dancing for a few hours.

She also does not suffer perverts very well. Granted, she -cant- refuse people if they word the wish correctly and it is not directed at her, but she tends to give them that wish and -only- that wish, pouring all her power into it. She also does not suffer anyone under the effects of Greed or anger very well either, but is less strict about it. She just wont -like- you all that well.

Mind you, she -does- like to dance, and if you're not annoyed by it, she will dance for someone, or dance to make money for someone, since she's compelled to do it anyway. It actually makes her smile when people appreciate her swaying hips.

Yes, she wears that. It's high fashion in Djinner, her home world. You can totally wish her into another outfit if you -really- want, though.
