True, they don't fit the stereotype, but then, Jaemie never really bothered with tradition. She's never seen much point in tradition when one looks for results, and as a direct result, she's gotten a fair bit of attention, over the years.
Mind you, traditionally, the women of her family are homemakers, not warriors. Jaemie's never been calm enough for that. She always had a fire inside her(pun entirely intentional) that matched or even dwarfed that of her brothers. She's the only girl among her four siblings, though, so it may have something to do with her brothers picking on her in the past.
Regardless, though, she grew up normally enough. She went to school, making average or better grades over the years, especially excelling in PE, but with a surprisingly high set of literary skill scores. She got a fair amount of attention over her good looks, but most guys were intimidated by her personality and couldn't bring themselves to approach her, leaving her largely dateless over the years. (Not, however, entirely without romantic attention. A few girls found out that she swings BOTH ways). Once she graduated, though, she figured out that she really wasn't a traditional career type of girl.
She did, however, go to college. Specifically, she went to college on a scholarship, to get a degree in anthropology, having a strong interest in history, with a minor in literature(doubtless a result of her ravenous appetite for books). And, once she was done with that, she signed on with the army, simply because she couldn't think of anything else she wanted to do.
Now, some eight years later, she's a (mostly retired)sergeant, and looking rather healthy as well. She's maintained her athletic figure, and added on some muscle, while gaining a certain level of maturity. There's no denying that she's a looker, though, even if she is a bit imposing.
Standing six feet three inches tall, she's tall enough to loom over most people, which comes in handy on her job. This is accented by a veritable mane of silky, blond hair, coming down to her butt, where her fluffy, curly tail starts. She's typically clad according to her sense of comfort when she's not on duty, wearing a black leather jacket, an orange belly shirt that shows off her abs, a pair of black jeans, and a pair of biker boots, her look finished off with a pair of fingerless leather gloves and a black beret, perched atop her head. Her ears stick out a bit, being slender and somewhat elfin, covered in soft orange fur, flicking and swiveling to catch various sounds. In her mouth, one can often see slight fangs when she talks, and especially when she grins.
As for her personality, she's often been described as a spitfire, a really energetic, fiery girl with an occasionally volatile temperament. She's steady, most of the time, but her angry moments are the stuff of legends. However, she's also fiercely loyal to her friends and companions, as many of her students learn. She has a low tolerance for bullying and idiocy, though, as many bullies and idiots learn to their dismay.
Presently, though, she's working with a mercenary company, helping to train new recruits and to catalog certain finds. She's picked up a couple new languages, and a few new tricks along the way. However, every ever so often, a girl HAS to have some alone time... And so, with that in mind, she's on vacation, traveling around the world, meeting new people, doing new things, and generally enjoying herself! Where she'll wind up, and who she'll meet, is entirely unknown to her, which makes it all the more exciting for her, and she's been in very good spirits of late.
Of course... there ARE rumors about other details, and SOME people who've bothered her were never seen again....
