Jade_Liuxing

Jade is a quiet, bookish little Chinese-American girl. Really, most people wouldn't expect much unusual out of her- she has black, straight hair in a braid down to her knees, stands just shy of five feet tall, wears a pair of rectangular-lens glasses that really is actually fairly cute, and tends to stay out of the way. Yes, she's pretty damn far over on the busty side of the spectrum, and there's a large weight of her namesake stone that she uses as a sort of bind for the end of her braid, but she's not terribly talkative and really doesn't do much to stand out, so relatively few people take much notice.

Just how she likes it, really. Especially in a place like the Shibusen, whose characters are so full of.... character.

Honestly, that actually makes things that much harder. She's in a school with characters as exotic as Franken Stein and Black*Star..... so being unremarkable is especially hard because you have to remain remarkable enough to not be noticed for staying -too- low-profile.

Her outfit is intended to be just remarkable enough to not stand out- The large weight on her hair and her spectacles have already been mentioned, naturally. The fluffy winter-weight vest goes a long way towards making her figure less interesting, and the tam-o-shanter perched atop her head is fixed in place with bobby pins carefully each day. Her blouses all have long sleeves that bell out at the end a bit, allowing her to partially conceal her hands, and the jeans and fuzzy boots are really more or less expected of Asian teens these days.

So, why is she at the Shibusen? Well, she's a weapon. A two-ended meteor hammer, to be precise. She's not fond of being a weapon though, nor proud of it. Not only doesn't she think of herself as being terribly useful in a fight, she doesn't really -want- to fight either.

This would make her a problem student- again, if not for the fact that she goes to a lot of trouble to not be noticed too much. So she passes her tests, but doesn't excel (she's made an art out of pinpointing the average grade and getting something in its vicinity- constant average grades would be remarkable, after all), she hasn't got a wielder because she doesn't tell anyone what her weapon form is, other than that it's 'nothing special' (which anyone who has ever used meteor hammers would know is a bald-faced lie), and when exciting things happen, she's always right there in the background contributing about as much as any other bystander.

There's probably a confidence issue or two there also, come to think of it.
