Istana is an ancient and powerful spirit of knowledge, who has dedicated her immortal life to studying the subject of predation. She considers it the most complex, beautiful and fascinating artform in existence. From the suspense of a slow and patient hunt, to the thrill of the chase, the pleasure of teasing and tormenting pinned and helpless morsels, and the physical and emotional delights of devouring them alive, she is a master of every possible step of the ancient dance of predator and prey. But there is always more for her to learn, and she adores seeking out remarkable prey and doing terrible thing, all in the name of knowledge. And her own lust.

Istana takes many forms, but her favourite is that of the archetypical predator, a massive quadrupedal wolf over ten feet in height. She wears the weight of her many successful hunts proudly, her body soft and voluptuous with thick layers of fat. Her belly is a globe of softness which can smother a car and all those inside it, and her sumptuous asscheeks are each wider than some of her victims are tall. The wolf practices all forms of predation, and so her fat ass is just as greedy as her jaws, as is the swollen, drooling sex below it and the fat, boulder-sized sloshing balls below that. Istana changes genitals as she pleases, and can be male, female or hermaphroditic depending on her whims. Her fur is deep green, fading to moonlit silver on her soft gut, and it is silkier and softer than any man-made fabric. To be smothered by the wolf’s belly, rump, paws or balls is to drown in luxurious heated weight, and Istana adores using her softness, size and strength to play with her food.

Istana is an academic at heart, with a fondness for poetry and classical epics. She treats every hunt, no matter how small or large, as a legendary experience for both her and her prey, and will stop at nothing to heighten the excitement and terror. To this end she is a terrifyingly creative monster, who makes every meal unique. In the past few millennia, this has included chasing her prey across whole solar systems, devouring entire cities over several years of constant gluttony, keeping “harems” of victims to adore and devour at her leisure, swallowing and resurrecting prey hundreds of times over until they know her body better than their own, and many, many, many other equally inventive fates. She loves coming up with ideas.

Background

Istana is a member of the Recollection, a vast, ancient multidimensional organisation which dedicates itself to the collection and comprehension of all forms of knowledge. Located on a set of concentric solar rings surrounding a blue star, its stated goal is to gather enough knowledge to understand the true nature and purpose of the multiverse.

There are many, many differing views on how to achieve this. The Primal Archeologists search for artifacts from the creation of the world, journeying across reality to find the brushstrokes of creation itself. The Sub-Animic Physicists, or soul-scientists, search for answers in the tiniest particles of magic, splitting souls apart to find the secrets within. And the Omniscients each dedicate their lives to a single subject, learning to master it completely across millennia of study. They claim that one day, once they have gained enough members, they will fuse into one being with absolute knowledge, who will finally be able to comprehend reality on all levels, from the physical to the symbolic to the psychological.

It’s debatable whether this day will ever truly come. The Omnisicents are a small group, and the universe is vast and full of things to learn. Istana herself doesn’t mind. She intends to spend the rest of her immortal life learning everything she can about predation, and enjoying herself intensely along the way.
