Iridescia

Iridescia Deepcurrent. Twenty-eight feet, from head to tail, of purebred orcamaid. From crotch and hips upward, a lovely woman. Below that point, an aquatic tail and fins, almost dolphinlike, sleek and powerful. Of course she has the monochromatic coloration of all her kind, but her eyes are particularly striking, gold pinned on black. She doesn't wear clothing, leaving her bare and blatantly female. She does have what might count as jewelry, fashioned from coral, or possibly bone.

Her life is a relatively simple one. She prowls everywhere from the depths of the ocean to populated beaches, hunting meals and scavenging for treasure. Those meals do frequently include incautious swimmers...it takes a good bit of food to keep someone her size going. She's like a magpie in her lust for anything shiny or unusual that takes her fancy. Where she keeps her collection is known only to her, and isn't necessarily the same place she sleeps. In fact, with all her wandering, it certainly isn't. She tends to bed down in underwater caverns and overhangs, or sometimes shipwrecks; whatever's convenient when she gets sleepy.

Her senses when underwater are extremely good. All of them. She can detect other living things from an incredible distance. The downside is that her hearing's a little sensitive on the surface, and she's not fond of extremely bright light up there either. While quite intelligent, she doesn't speak english well. Her vocal chords aren't suited to it. Instead, she usually communicates in trills and clicks. Also of note, as a subspecies of whale, Iridescia is very much a mammal, with no gills. She can hold her breath for insane amounts of time!

She's high on the food chain, but not invincible. There's always a bigger fish, after all....
