Iraos

The Kingdom of Iraos is one of many in the large world it is set in, and it is by far the one we know the most about. It lies in the northwestern part of the Expani Ocean, and is divided up amongst many other races, some of which are stranger than even they comprehend.

History:
Many many ages ago, there was a war, between the northern human tribes, and the southern elven tribes. It was a war of ideals: the humans wanted to expand their empire, and invent new and better ways to do their work. The elves wanted to live a simpler life, trusting magic to help them live their lives easily and calmly. The humans eventually pushed the elves onto the coastal lands in the south, and eventually into the ocean itself. Over many ages, the elves evolved and adapted to living underwater, and the humans expanded all over the world on land, developing technology. (in a nutshell, that is!)

Races Present:
On Land:

Humans - these humans are divided up into three separate kingdoms, and will be described further down. They are adept with clockwork-based technology, such as clocks, some seige equipment such as catapaults, and other such utilitarian needs. They have mostly settled on the southern half of Iraos.

Dwarves - Settling in the mountains just north of the human territory, and dividing the island in two, these dwarves are traditional fantasy dwarves - stonecutters, very honorable, living in homes carved from the mountains. They specialize in gunpowder and stoneworking technology, such as cannons.

Gnomes - The most northern of the creatures on land, gnomes are very industrial, and by far the most technologically advanced race. Their tech of choice is steam-powered technology, their city a NYC-like bastion of advanced weaponry, transportation, and utility.

Half-orcs - a bastard race sprung from the savage orcs and a sect of humans who do not embrace technology, most of these are creatures of instinct and savagery, while others are intelligent keepers of lost knowledge.

Hadozee - this strange race of travelling simians have flaps of skin under their arms and legs, allowing them to glide on the air. Very adept at life at sea, they make for excellent sailors, and tend to travel all over, never settling in one place.

Under the Sea

Elves - The elves of Assim are a great deal more plentiful than they were above the waves. Masters of defensive and support magic, they live in a caste-like system beneath the waves. They are much like the typical fantasy elf, but more blue, with gills and fins to adapt to underwater life.

Halflings - these ancient cross-breeds of gnomes and dwarves were once happy to live with the gnomes, but an ancient dispute sent them to the waves, where they adapted their magic and weaponry to become the militant force of the waves. They are diminuitive humanoids with the same sort of skin tone as elves, but much shorter, and a bit stockier. They live in the domain of Shiamuon, based around a traditional Chinese system.

Darfellan - this aquatic race, like a cross between a large humanoid and a whale, have been murdered in massive amounts by evil sahuagin, forced to live in small settlements dotted around the oceans. They are a barbaric, proud people, who share a tragic story.

Chinatsu
The small archipelago nation of Chinatsu, off the northeastern coast of Iraos, is home to another group of humans, more clan-based, with a definite oriental feel. There are other races present on their islands that are found nowhere else.

Korobokuru - these dwarves, descendants from the dwarves of mainland Iraos, are more slenderly built than regular dwarves, and prefer the woods and plains to the mountains. They are also more savage and less driven by honor.

Spirit folk (most common types: sea, river, bamboo) - These people appear to be normal humans, until you look closer..they are rather good looking compared to even the best of pure humans, due to their spiritual blood.

Hengeyokai - these strange creatures are animals with human levels of intelligence, able to shapeshift between their animal forms, a human form that holds traces of their heritage, and a hybrid form.

Vanara - another simian race, this more similar to the playful, mischevious monkeys of "Journey to the West", these people are often the most spiritually attuned of Chinatsu.

Nezumi - ratlings, for a lack of a better term, are from a secluded island inhabited by evil creatures called the Shadowkin. While the nezumi are not themselves evil, it is not uncommon for one to be found there anymore.

Kingdom of Iraos

Long ago, there was a great king, Flynn Iraos. He conquered most of the land now named after him, and on his deathbed, he left his land to his three children.

Oredor - Gabriel Iraos, the oldest son, chose the northern reaches of his father's territory, where the land was rocky and hard to farm, but perfect for mining. He planned to rule over the world's economy and become richer than anyone before him. The kingdom itself is rather subdued, with no real festivals or celebrations to be had, with very Swiss architecture - thatched roofs, houses with high ceilings and intricate designs, etc.

Berlinia - Maghild Iraos, the middle daughter, chose the coastal regions in the southwestern part of the territory, settling there to keep the oceanic beings from returning to the land and destroying everything she holds dear. They are a loud, jubiliant people, with many festivals all over the kingdom. The architecture is very Germanic, with tall spires, gargoyles, and gothic influences.

Veniazo - Biagino Iraos, the youngest son, chose the lush, fertile farmlands and the swampy forests of the southeast as his lands. His plan was to make his people happy. End of story. His city is the middle ground between the other two: they do celebrate, but not as loudly as Berlinians. Their architecture is very European, especially Italy, with their capital city heavily resembling Venice.

Unnamed Kingdom - In a small section of land northeast of Veniazo, a tribe of humans who refused the sons and daughters' rule, as well as the influence of technology, reside in sparse settlements. There is not much known about these people, and it is difficult to get a handle of their personality, as most of them attack any outsiders. It is rumored that they are related to half-orcs.

((And that should be enough for now! This alt is VERY heavily story-based, with almost no vore scenes feasible. If this doesn't drive you away, feel free to give me a PM!))

Note - this alt was based on a Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting. If you are interested in the mechanics behind it if you would like to actually roll a character sheet for a character here, let me know! I'd be thrilled.
