Inochi is Desmond's weapon partner, her name literally meaning "Water of Life" in Japanese. In her weapon form, she is a combat knife with her name engraved on one side of the blade.

Inochi as a combat knife

When she is in her knife form, she has the ability to surround her blade with water and launch it at enemies at extremely high speeds. She also can use her water to heal the wounded. Both of these skills get more potent as she gets stronger.

For the most part, Inochi is a caring figure, her goal being to heal all the people she can. This can conflict with Desmond's quick temper, leading to many fights between the two. When she deems it necessary for the good of others, however, she can be deadly.
