Description The Immortal Records are a set of scrolls that document every past, present, and future event that relates to the balance of light and darkness; known as Duality. The Records are kept by the Archangels in Heaven, where they are closely monitored for significant events and deviations in time. Cassiel is the Archangel in charge of overseeing the events listed in the Records, and is the one responsible for "correcting" the deviations. Since the forces of Heaven are in control of the Records, Archangels often task lesser Angels with the duty of maintaining the balance on Earth without having to directly get involved themselves. The forces of evil usually try to avoid drawing the attention of the Archangels, and instead comply with the laws agreed upon by both sides concerning domains and balances. Although, there will always be rouges on either side that do not follow the rules.

History When the world was created, it was placed within a dark maelstrom known as the void and held in place by a thin barrier called the veil. The veil protects the world from being sucked into the void and consumed, but also absorbs dark energies within it's boundaries to sustain itself. The trick is making sure that there is still evil within the world to fuel the barrier, while controlling it so that the world isn't covered in darkness. This wasn't really a problem at first when the veil was first created by the Archangels, using their divine blood and energy from the void to bind it. As the veil slowly formed and was molded into place; the seams would clash against one another and splash void essence mixed with divine blood into the world. This dark matter soaked into the earth and festered like an infected wound until cracking and spawning dark creatures known only as the Tainted. The Tainted were a plague upon the world; insentient and nearly indestructible, these creatures spread and roamed the various undeveloped wastes and deserts of the newly formed world. Angels struggled to keep these beasts in check by hunting and killing as many as they could. Once the Angels had slain the majority of the Tainted, they realized that they would need to ensure that not all are eradicated for fear that the Veil would drift away. The Archangels captured the few Tainted that they could and trapped them within a powerful great white oak tree inside their sanctuary Eden. The tree bore fruit that emanated with dark energy and the veil was maintained without incident while the angels continued hunting the Tainted. Upon the creation of man, Lilith_the_Unclean was brought into existence to contain all the evil in the world. At first she was honored in her duties, until she realized that she would have to submit to man as Adam's wife. Lilith left Adam and transformed herself into a serpent to lurk alone in the shadows. Archangel Lucifer took pity on Lilith and sought to help her without consent from the other Archangels. Eve was then created from Adam's rib to be his wife. Lilith was displeased with their happiness and sought to ruin it by tempting Eve with the forbidden fruit after Archangel Lucifer suggested it, knowing that it would cause their banishment from Eden. She was successful, but humanity quickly flourished outside of the garden and soon spread across the world within centuries. The other Archangels quickly learned of Lucifer's betrayal and voted to have him expelled from Heaven and replaced by his lieutenant Cassiel, making her the first and only female Archangel. After Archangel Lucifer was banished and deemed as Tainted many Angels rebelled against Heaven and were banished as well. These angels were the Fallen and spent the beginning of their existence wandering the different realms searching for a new purpose. Lilith hated humanity and sought to gain the power to release her evil into the world in hopes of destroying mankind and ruling the earth as a goddess. Lilith seduced the Archangel Samael, mating with him and combining their powers to spawn the first eight "Unclean" creatures. In unleashing this evil into the world, Lilith accidentally tore the Veil, the fabric of time and space between the earth and the Void, allowing darkness into the world. This day was later called Samhain and marked when the Veil was thinnest. Most Fallen Angels became demons by taking in the darkness and turning evil. Only a small few choose not to become demons. By releasing this evil into the world, Lilith started the war between good and evil. The Unclean spread their evil across the world, breading with humans to spawn more evil, killing humans and infecting their bodies, even turning humans into monsters. Heaven had to send it's forces to hunt and destroy the dark creatures before they spread and wipe out humanity. Many humans and animals were killed in the crossfire. The Archangels decided that many of earth's inhabitants should be taken to a secure location until most of the evil had been dealt with. Many humans and animals were taken to a protected structure called the Ark. They remained there as the Archangels came to earth and used their combined powers to destroy every unclean creature that remained on the surface. This cataclysm of destruction is often referred to as the Flood. Lilith and a small amount of evil creatures still lurked in the darkness, but they would never again spread across the face of the earth as they once did. Select humans joined with the forces of Heaven to prevent evil from spreading again. Paladins would hunt evil with the help of empaths that could sense where evil lurked. Priest would prevent ghouls from raising the dead. Eventually humanity flourished and covered the world, while evil hid and rarely surfaced from the darkness. The Archangels decided to leave the Earth to the humans and observe from Heaven, only interfering when absolutely necessary. Guardian Angels still patrol the earth to protect humans from evil, but generally don't reveal their divine powers to mortals. Most humans have forgotten about the war and reference it only as legend and stories meant to scare children from going into dark places. Only a handful of humans still fight evil, passing these teaching down through the family.

Story The conflict in this story all starts when an Angel named Natalie_the_Fallen falls in love with a shadow-born named Kris_the_Shadow. She was patrolling earth looking for evil and came across a shadow-born that had passed through the Veil and was lurking in a dark cave away from any populated location. At first she had intended to destroy him, but The shadow-born chose a human appearance which made it harder for her to want to kill him. This gave him an opportunity to talk with her and convince her that he was good and did not want to hurt people. He was lying, but she believed him and continued seeing him. When asked what to call him, he made up the name Kris since shadow-born don't actually have names. Eventually she wanted to be with him in the light, but he couldn't be in direct sunlight. Kris convinced her to give him some of her powers so he wouldn't be banished by light. She reluctantly agreed, sealing their fates with a kiss. They transferred a little of themselves to each other, giving Kris unexpected humanity and Natalie a darker side. Kris felt bad for lying to her and left her because he couldn't handle the way she made him feel. She was banished from Heaven for her betrayal and became a Fallen angel but chose not to become a demon. Archangel Cassiel ordered Ariel_the_Guardian to fix her friend Natalie's mistake. Ariel was unable to complete her task when Natalie tainted her with the power she obtained from Kris, because deep down Natalie still loves Kris. For her failure, Ariel was also banished from Heaven by Archangel Cassiel, until she can finish her task by slaying Kris. During his time on Earth, Kris is able to influence the actions of several different characters, making them question their role in the on-going war between good and evil. Because of his refusal to take a side, Kris poses a threat to the balanced duality and causes both sides to want him dead, getting the Archangels and even Lilith involved. Because Kris' actions are neutral and therefor not tracked in the Immortal Records, Archangel Cassiel fears that Kris will cause the end of existence, while several other characters believe that Kris will bring an end to the war between good and evil, influencing them to become neutral themselves.

The On-Going Immortal War There are three factions of Immortals that are currently fighting for control of the Immortal Records, and thus the fate of all Immortals. There are the Forces of Heaven (Led by the seven Archangels that ultimately answer to Archangel Cassiel), there are the Unclean (Led by Queen Lilith), and there are the Immortal Rebels (Led by Kris). The Forces of Heaven: Seven separate groups of Angels are led by Seven Archangels. Each Archangel has their own area of responsibility and supervises their group of angels toward their purpose, much like different units in an army. The Seven Archangels form a council that meets regularly and discusses matters of concern that require greater attention. Their decisions are based on a majority vote, but Archangel Cassiel carries a substantial influence over the others and ultimately makes most of the decisions. On very rare occasions where the enemy becomes to powerful and over steps their boundaries, the Seven Archangels must make a unanimous vote to go to earth together and quell the rising threat. Archangel Cassiel leads the Angels of Twilight. Their mission is to observe and oversee the transitions of time. They can often be seen from a distance as they observe the transitions from day to night, the changing of seasons (Specifically Fall and Spring as it marks the transition from Summer to Winter and vise versa), and the final moments of a persons life as they expire. Their domain is Knowledge and Time. Their powers can alter time and their personality is often serious and stern, little room for emotions. Archangel Uriel leads the Angels of Light. Their mission is to Guard over the domains of light and hunt down darkness that threatens innocent life. Once the sun has risen in the sky, the Angels of light must fight to ensure that darkness does not cloud it's light. Their domain is the sun and everything that it's light touches. Their powers can reflect light as energy to battle darkness and their personality is often very arrogant and quick to anger. Archangel Gabriel leads the Angels of Night. Their mission is to guide the lost and confused innocents that wonder around aimlessly in the dark. The often serve as messengers or voices of comfort to those who pray for guidance. Their domain is the moon and everything that it's light touches. Their powers can channel moonlight to alter reality and their personality is often calm and peaceful. Archangel Michael leads the Angels of Summer. Their mission is to tend to the growth of all life whether it be man, animal, or plant. They mostly deal with plants and animals though and generally only deal with humans as they develop into adults. Their domain is nature. Their powers can alter the earth and nature, their personality often resembling a hippie. Archangel Raguel leads the Angels of Winter. Their mission is to aid life during the cold winter climates. They often protect and help liven the spirits of man to ensure that life continues throughout the harsh winter. Their domain is Fun and keeping it alive. Their powers can summon ice and snow, their personality is often fun loving and carefree without much room for seriousness or anger. Archangel Samael leads the Angels of Life. Their mission is to plant life so that the world can flourish. They often help encourage procreation of both humans and animals. They also heal barren lands and plant new seeds so that life has a chance once again. Their domain is Birth. Their powers can heal and revive the dying or wounded. Their personality is often compassionate and caring. Archangel Sariel leads the Angels of Death. Their mission is to gather the souls of the dead and lead them to their final destination. They are usually very busy and have little time for rest, specially after natural disasters. Their domain is Peace. Their powers can numb the senses and ease the mind of stress and burden. However, they carry Scythes and can use them to fight evil spirits that attempt to defile or corrupt the bodies or souls of the dead. Their personality is often nonchalant and tired, lacking excitement or desire for conflict. They generally try to end fights as quickly as possible, stating that they don't have the time to waste. The Unclean: The Unclean are the descendants of Lilith_the_Unclean and all of them branch from her eight original children known as the Unclean Alphas, from when she seduced Archangel Samael and used his powers of life to birth evil into the world. The day of their birth is known by mortals as Samhain, the day the veil between the human world and the spiritual one was torn in the wake of Lilith's immense power and allowed magic and darkness into the world. Most of the Unclean are in hiding after their kind spread across the world like a plague and forced the Archangels to purge the majority of them. The Lamia, Scylla, is likely the most evil of Lilith's daughters. She has no regard for human life and often spends most of her time stalking and devouring children to torment their parents for Scylla's own sadistic pleasure. She has the upper body of a gorgeous human woman and the lower body of a snake, though she can take human form when she chooses. She is able to use magic and has venom that can paralyze her victims before she devours them whole into her serpentine body. She has been known to seduce men into impregnating her, often eating them afterwards. It is from her that lesser lamia were born and their kind have spread since. Though they are more rare compared to the other Unclean due to their common disdain for humans and lack of interest to procreate. Scylla still spends her nights stalking children, but welcomes the commands of her mother to once again wreak havoc to mankind. The Vampire, Varney, spend many centuries lurking in the shadows and stalking human prey before deciding that he wanted more excitement in his immortal life. He studied humans from the shadows and became well educated and sophisticated over time. Often regarding humans with respect for their necessity in his existence. It wasn't long before he decided to try and pass his dark gift onto humans that he deemed worthy. He then started targeting more renowned humans and turning them into vampires for his amusement. One of his first targets was Vlad the Impaler, also know as Count Dracula. From then on, Varney spent much of his time blending in as a wealthy human and occasionally turning victims into vampires. The condition eventually spread and vampires have lurked among humans ever since. Unlike the lesser vampires that lurk in the shadows today, Varney had very few weaknesses and required less blood to sustain his powers. He was not vulnerable to sunlight, crosses, or holy water since his father was an Archangel. Though decapitation and a wooden stake through the heart would still do him in. He has superhuman speed and strength, as well as self regeneration when wounded. It is rumored that he still lives, but has gone into hiding since the great purge. The Werewolf, Lycaon, is the alpha of all werewolves. Thus he has a telepathic link to all he infects. He is able to change from human to wolf at will and is the strongest of his kind. Silver only slows him down, but decapitation would kill him. He still faithfully follows Lilith along with several remaining werewolves that he has turned. The process of infecting a human is as simple as a bite or scratch, but few humans ever survive the transformation. Only the strongest become werewolves and often cannot revert back into human form after their first change on a full moon. Some werewolves hide among humans and find ways to seclude themselves during the full moon to avoid detection. There are even some that are strong enough to repress their nature and remain in human form until eventually losing control. The Succubus, Meridiana, was on of the few Unclean that wasn't entirely malevolent. She often assisted mortals in their endeavors in exchange for sex which kept her fed. She would become pregnant on occasion and would spawn lesser succubus and incubus. Although still powerful, these lesser creatures were not as skilled at entering dreams or controlling their powers. Often killing humans in the process of feeding. Many of them were tainted by the dark desires of their human fathers that consummated them and became wicked monsters that were regarded as demons. After being called demons for so long, many of them accepted it and started spending most of their time around demons and were welcomed additions to their ranks. Unlike demons however, succubus and incubus belong to Lilith and do not have a choice when she commands them. It is rumored that Meridiana is in hiding, living as the wife to a mortal. The Silvermyst, Zilvra_the_Unclean, was a dark skinned scaly creature with pointed ears and sharp pointed teeth. She excelled at magic and was extremely intelligent. She was also very strong and fast in addition to being seven feet tall. She could even change her form into a dark mist that could surround and devour it's prey. Despite her frightening appearance and dark powers, Zilvra held no animosity towards humans and often ate animals instead. She even mated with a human whom she had saved and grew attached to. Together they spawned the first dark elves. After continued interaction with humans and many generations later, Elven kind had spread across the world in various breeds and tribes. But one day Lilith became angered by their friendly interaction with mankind and ordered them to kill the humans among them. Unable to disobey an order from their dominant creator, the elves went to war with humans and slaughtered many of them before the lands were divided between them. Lilith was pleased and turned her attention to other matters. In her absence, the Elven elders discussed their options and decided to use a magical taint on all elves that would awaken their humanity enough to protect them from Lilith's aura of dominance. Unfortunately, this taint also made them more vulnerable and weakened their powers. Some elves even lost their immortality that day. Unable to control them, Lilith relentlessly found and slaughtered all elves that she could find. Many of them went into hiding, using magic to open portals to other dimensions where their kind could live in peace. Few elves remain in this realm today, but often stay in small tribes that move around to avoid Lilith. Zilvra could not bear the thought of what happened to her children, but could not oppose her mother either. She disappeared and is thought to have committed suicide or may even still be in hiding. The Ghoul, Mortimer, is one nasty piece of work. He is an evil spirit that infests dead bodies to create zombies, revenants, Jiang Shi, draugr, and other walking dead. He gains energy by eating corpses and is able to split that energy into other dead bodies that he infects, creating more ghouls. Ghouls cannot kill humans while in spiritual form and must posses a dead body in order to feed. Mortimer usually targets powerful sorcerers and turns them into revenants to use as his host. His spawn often visit unprotected graveyards and tombs to infect dead bodies and become zombies or deceased warriors called draugr that posses incredible strength and resiliency. Ghouls can only be killed by burning the body while the evil spirit is still inside, this often requires a magical binding that will prevent the ghoul from escaping. In rare circumstances when an evil woman is killed and not properly buried, a powerful ghoul with enough stored energy can infect her and create what is called a Jiang Shi. Although still undead with a physical body, Jiang Shi are terrifying monsters that can change between spiritual and physical form at will. This often makes them extremely difficult to kill. Ghouls are hunted ruthlessly by monks, paladins, and angels due to their ability to spread rapidly and kill many humans before being stopped. This is why many graveyards and tombs are blessed as sacred ground to keep ghouls away. As a result, most ghouls stay close to Lilith for protection. The Shapeshifter, Variel, is the alpha of her kind. Breeding with humans to spawn more shapeshifters which branched off into many different kinds of creatures that could change their shape, including monsters that lost their humanity and stayed in their horrific form. Unlike the lesser shapeshifters she has spawned, Variel can change her shape at will without limits. Many shapeshifters that have descended from her are generally weaker and limited to what forms they can take. Many shapeshifters stay in one form for so long that they forget how to change back. As a result, most appear to only be monsters and the more powerful shapeshifters blend in with humans quite well. They don't have to eat humans and are content living among them. Variel disappeared after the purge that claimed the lives of many of her children, but many shapeshifters can still sense her presence watching over them. She is bonded to her children through a telepathic link and can always find them. The Nightmare, Kris_the_Shadow, has always been feared by any unfortunate enough to meet him. Although he began without form or even a name, he took on the form of his first victim and choose his name from the dagger that was used in his victims death. Like his brother, Mortimer, Kris is a spirit and feeds off humans. But instead of human corpses, Kris feeds on the emotions and dark desires of human minds. After gathering enough energy, Kris was able to spawn more nightmares from himself. These spirits infest the weakened minds of humans when they're stressed or scared, controlling their dreams and thoughts and gain power from their conscious energies until eventually becoming a Shadow-born. Shadow-born are elevated nightmares that can take corporal form and devour their prey whole rather than simply infecting their minds and causing them to commit suicide. However, they cannot enter bright sources of light and will be banished into the veil upon contact with bright light. Sun light can kill them, which is why Angels of Light are often sent to kill them when they become a problem. The great purge began after an entire kingdom was wiped out by Shadow-born during an eclipse, led by Kris before he was cursed with humanity. He often remembers that slaughter now and hates himself for it. After being tainted with light, Kris is the only hybrid Shadow-born and is rendered immune to Lilith's control. She tried to punish him by stealing his powers and killing him, but instead lost all her stolen powers in the void. Kris cannot directly use these powers, but has learned how to give them to others in order to create new immortals. The purge killed off most of the Shadow-born, the few remaining stay close to Lilith or hide in the void. The Immortal Rebels: There are many different kinds of Immortals that dwell within the world, but all of them (With the exception of Angels and Demons) exist because of the creation of the Immortal Records. Because of this, all Immortals are bound by the records and must abide by certain rules regarding their interaction with mankind. There are many Immortals that do not agree with these rules or the on-going Immortal conflict between Lilith and the Archangels. Although most Immortals hide in seclusion and simply try to wait out the coming storm, some feel that a change is needed. Kris_the_Shadow is the first Shadow-born who has managed to break from Lilith's control and even take some of her powers. The Archangels regard Kris as a threat because he does not abide by the Immortal laws. As a result, Kris has been forced to fight against both Heaven and Lilith in order to survive. His rebellion has encouraged other Immortals to do the same, resulting in some of them joining Kris' cause. Over a short period of time, Kris has gathered some of the most powerful Immortals from both opposing sides (To even include Angels and Demons) and although they are few in numbers, they have proven to be quite the challenge to Lilith and Cassiel. Kris' forces include: Natalie_the_Fallen, a fallen Angel of Light who refuses to become a demon. Davor the Immortal Paladin of Lightning, a resurrected Paladin who can bless his weapons and armor with lightning. Iasair_of_Flame, a Fire Demon who used to be an Angel of Light serving with Natalie and Ariel_the_Guardian. She betrayed her mistress Lilith and joined Kris because she has an infatuation for him. Revy_Two_Hands, a resurrected gun slinger and notorious smuggler. Claymore_Clare, a resurrected warrior from a distant land.

Alt List This is a list of characters involved in the Immortal Records story. These characters are played between three different players and are only available as their respective player is.

Kris_the_Shadow is a shadow-born with the unique ability to walk in direct sunlight. He is a neutral character because he has dark powers, but human emotions and a conscience. These are all qualities that make him different from any other shadow-born, and make him harder to destroy.

Natalie_the_Fallen is a Fallen Angel that fell in love with Kris and gave him the ability to touch light along with his human emotions. In return she was tainted with darkness which resulted in her banishment from Heaven. Natalie is unique because she is one of the few Fallen Angels that refuses to become a demon, despite her dark taint.

Ariel_the_Guardian is a guardian Angel that used to be the lieutenant of the Angels of light, until she was cursed by her friend Natalie for trying to kill Kris. Her curse causes her to become mortal whenever she makes the concious decision to kill anyone. Ariel has been banished from Heaven until she can kill Kris.

Iasair_of_Flame used to be a guardian Angel of Light and served with Ariel and Natalie as companions. She enjoyed killing things more than protecting mankind and became corrupt. Archangel Uriel and Ariel were forced to clip her wings and banish her to earth. Iasair is now a fire demon that follows Lilith's command. She is psychotic and unpredictable. She is completely immune to mind control and having her thoughts read. She gets excited at the sight of burning objects and loves destroying things. She has an infatuation with Kris because of his unique situation, but has been tasked with finding him by Lilith's orders so that she can destroy him. Lilith is unaware of Iasair's infatuation with Kris, because Lilith can't read Iasair's mind.

Lilith_the_Unclean is the most powerful dark being, and the source of all magic, darkness, and evil in the world. She can shapeshift, tamper with the minds of others, steal powers from others, and alter reality. She is emotionless and doesn't care about anything but power. Lilith hates humans and kills them ruthlessly, but because they lack any powers for her to steal, she mostly avoids them altogether unless they get in her way.

Archangel Cassiel is responsible for observing significant events on earth and making sure they match up with what is listed in the Immortal Records. When she notices something on Earth that isn't listed in the records, she delegates Angels to deal with it. Archangel Cassiel avoids getting directly involved with Earth's affairs because her immense powers often leave great destruction in her wake. Her personality can be described as cold and calculated, leaving no room for mercy or compassion. ((Cassiel is an Alt of Ariel_the_Guardian))

Lailah is an Angel of Night. She uses her power of altering anything the moonlight touches to maintain peace and serenity. Lailah is a pure being of love and compassion. Lailah hates violence and refuses to harm any living creature, good or evil alike. Ariel considers Lailah to be her little sister, keeping herself in check whenever Lailah is around. Davor is an Immortal paladin of lightning who was killed by Iasair ceturies ago while hunting for Lilith. Ariel resurrected Davor so that he could coninue his hunt. He persued Kris, believing that there is a connection between Kris and Lilith. After realizing that Kris is fighting against Lilith and winning, Davor has joined with Kris. Revy_Two_Hands was resurrected by Kris_the_Shadow to cause conflict in Nexus for the angels and demons that are hunting him.

Claymore_Clare was resurrected by Kris_the_Shadow to cause conflict in Nexus for the angels and demons that are hunting him.

Zilvra_the_Unclean is one of Lilith's daughters and sister to Kris, making her one of the eight Unclean Alpha's. She is currently in hiding, taking the appearance and behavior of a mermaid.

Aya_of_Misery used to be the lieutenant of the Angels of Life, serving directly under Archangel Samael's command. She secretly has a crush on him, but was too shy to tell anyone. After learning of his involvement with Lilith and their evil spawn, Aya refused to follow Samael and fled from Heaven. In her pain and resentment, she progressively became more and more corrupted as time went by. She is now a Demon of Misery, unleashing her torment and scorn upon the world. She has picked up a habit of hunting Lilith's Unclean children and capturing them inside a magic camera as a form of payback.

Markus_the_Host is a teenage human that has been possessed by both Elora and Amy, but is able to keep control over his body for the most part due to being an empath. Empaths are naturally attuned to the supernatural and can more easily absorb emotions and energies without being overwhelmed.

Elora is the lieutenant of the Angels of Twilight, serving directly under Archangel Cassiel. She is arguably one of the most powerful and precise angels around. She has a very cool head and is seemingly emotionless. She currently shares a body with Markus_the_Host.

Amy used to be an Angel of Night, working closely with Lailah. Although Angels of Night are suppose to use their powers to preserve the earth, Amy was always more concerned with corrupting and twisting it to her will. She has a sick and demented sense of humor and revels in ruining beautiful things. She was banished from Heaven for misuse and perversion of her powers, her wings clips and her divinity purged. Amy is now a Corrupter Demon, one of the most dangerous and vile of them all. They are known for possessing and corrupting hosts to gain power and twist the world around them for pleasure. She currently shares a body with Markus_the_Host.

Ceres_of_Change used to be an Angel of Twilight, before she was banished from Heaven for insubordination and her wings clipped. Since then she has roamed the various dimensions, learning and testing her new demonic powers just as many Fallen before her that become corrupt and evil. Unlike most Demons however, Ceres has developed her powers past the normal threshold and earned her Demonic Wings as a result. While the power of flight is useful, they serve more as a symbol of her superiority than anything. It is true that all Demons are rouges and thus are not bound to serve anyone, but no Demon in their right mind would defy Ceres directly...

Valkyries are a specialized task force assembled to hunt down and eliminate Demons or other evil creatures. Their team is comprised of nine members, three Vala, three Paladins, and three Mages.

Eve_the_Tainted is the first human woman, but was tricked and tainted by Lilith out of spite. As a result, humanity was banished from Eden and over many centuries Eve was slowly corrupted and changed into an evil being. She is now capable of rapid regeneration and her behavior is unpredictable due to her warped mind. While she may seem frail and helpless; she is strong, fast, and has an insatiable hunger for flesh.
