Bio:


The Melkai of Imperium's North Seas are known to be pale, tough, and vicious. Survival in the cruel north seas depends on an individual's perseverance and cunning, and in this regard the Melkai are apex predators. Rarely venturing from their grottos except to hunt and do mercenary work, little is known about the North Seas Melkai. They lack the head barbells which are characteristic of their southern cousins, and their fins are much more pronounced, helping them swiftly and actively hunt their prey.

Young Areen F'shhun was diagnosed early in her life as an uncharacteristically runtish and lazy Melkai, perhaps due to her frailty and fickle attitude. Whether she left or was kicked out of her home is not known, but regardless, Areen found herself attempting to win the confidence of a nomadic tribe of Selkies when she was just 17. The Selkies are a simple, seal-like people who are capable of existing in any body of water, and their yearly travels took Areen across Imperium. During her travels, she learned three important lessons: first, that the idea of nomadic travel suited her; second, that she was better suited to traveling alone; and third, that Selkies were tragically delicious. Nevertheless, by the time she left the mysteriously thinned Selkie tribe at the age of 19, Areen had developed a fondness for the species. She was to refer to herself as Selkie from then on.

Unapologetically proud and competitive, Selkie claims to have impressive knowledge of many oceans, rivers, lakes, towns, cities, and swamps throughout Imperium: anywhere moist, really. As one of the few north sea Melkai to actively travel the world, she has provided a great deal of information about her people to those curious. She is also happy to guide travellers through especially dangerous waterways, but all her services come at a price, and she is known to be dangerously unforgiving to those who cannot afford her peculiar fees...

In her spare time, Selkie has become quite an entrepreneur, engaging in trade with various port towns while offering her guide services as well. She's also been known to market her voracious appetite as a spectacle for those willing to pay to see it in action. Most famously, she's the host and star of the brand-new gameshow: What Did She Eat?? in which contestant may try their luck at guessing... what she has in her stomach. At this time, reviews remain decidedly mixed.
