Hope Taylor is a micro mouse-girl doing her best to make it in a world that's far too large for her. Born and raised by her parents in the Nexus, she attended a school which accepted both normal sized beings as well as micros. She remained there for a few years before promptly dropping out due to an incident in which one of the feline students attempted to send her on a one way trip to her growling stomach. Since then she was homeschooled by her parents. Granted she wasn't exactly the best student, the mouse girl preferring to focus on more practical things, things that didn't include mathematics and studying the parts of the body. Instead she spent her time playing a guitar made for someone of her stature, Hope becoming quite a skilled musician. As soon as she finished her schooling she moved out, wanting to start a life for herself in the big city. Of course, this was easier said than done, as she quickly discovered. Not many people are very fond of hiring girls who could easily be trampled, meaning she's jobless and homeless. She's doing her best though, the young mouse scrounging around for food and money whenever she can. She remains optimistic however, firmly believing that she'll succeed one of these days.

Hope is a kindhearted, down to earth kind of girl. She doesn't bother with things like fashion, believing that her normal clothes are just as good as some frilly dress. Around other micros she's enthusiastic and amusing, always cracking jokes to make them laugh. However, ever since her experience at school where she was almost eaten alive, Hope has been extremely timid and wary around normal-sized people. She normally does everything in her power to avoid them, utterly petrified that they'll try to step on her or swallow her down like that cat from her youth. As expected she's especially petrified of felines and anything resembling them, the trauma still fresh in her mind. Even still she's incredibly relaxed and carefree most of the time, taking what comes her way with an amused smirk, as if life is nothing more than a big joke. Granted, to her, it is. She sees the world as a horrible, desolate place filled with mostly cruel and malevolent people. Instead of worrying about it though, she simply tries to enjoy her time there, looking for any reason to smile.
