Hive_Nest

They say that one hive of them is bad, imagine what a nest of hives would be like. All of them working together in a single, scuttling mass to strip the land clean of life and material to build more nests. Allowing the swarm to grow even further, like a malignant cancer that spreads through healthy flesh. Replacing it with infected tissue and puss.

Madness gripping the minds of hundreds as the spiritual presence of such a mass pushes against the world essence itself, ever hungry, ever consuming. Wanting nothing but to breed and feed and grow. Unreasonable, merciless, they simply consume and destroy.

They being a swarm, of beasts, monsters and aberrations. All created by a mad conciousness with the simple thought of curiosity, but once bored of it's creations, the conciousness turned to other things and left them to their own devices. Letting them run wild and unchecked.

But do not see to them as mere beasts, for among their numbers hides more intelligent, sentient creatures as well. Minds as twisted and malignant as the swarm itself. Capable of greats acts of cruelty and wickedness with their alien minds. Some of them even sharing a small portions of their creator's power, capable of reforming the swarm and the world after their own perverted mind scape.
