Historia was born and raised on the estate owned and administered by the Reiss family. As a child, she never experienced a mother's love, since her own mother hated Historia, that Alma spends her time reading or leaving the estate at night. During this time, Historia was visited by her half-sister, Frieda. She alone cared for Historia as a motherly figure, teaching her and playing together regularly. However, in order to keep Historia safe, her memories of Frieda were erased. Days after the fall of Wall Maria, her mother was killed in front of her. The soliders who killed Alma were about to kill Historia next, but her father intercepts by offering an agreement. If she leaves the Reiss household and assume a new identity, then she lives. They agree to this and Historia changed her name to Christa Lenz.

She later trained with the 104th Cadet Corps, as Christa, to strike back against the Titans that're constantly attacking the Walls. It was at this time when she met Ymir, who sticked with Historia after graduation, thereby joining the Scout Regiment and ready for the battles ahead. Historia eventually reclaimed her true name, becoming an important asset to Eren Jaeger and the Scout Regiment, in order to claim the Reiss heritage. After killing her father, Historia ascends to the throne, becomimg queen of the Walls. As queen, she built a farm where orphans and other people in need, using her family's budget and assets seized from politicians. The monarchy is largely for show, but despite that, the people think well of her. The Scout Regiment was able to bring an end to the Colossal Titan's reign of terror and take back Wall Maria, much to Historia's worry for them.

Later on, after the ceremony in honor of the Scout Regiment, Historia discovered that she and her people are descendants of Eldia. And they were isolated on Paradis Island by Marley, the true enemy who has been forcing the Eldians into killing each other, by turning half of them into Titans. War was declared and Eren Jaeger would lead the Scout Regiment to attack Marley and free the Eldians. If Hizuru should help Paradis Island catch up to the rest of the world, then Historia will need to have as many children as possible to protect her people, while she too must inherit the Beast Titan from Zeke Jaeger.
