Old Mother Forest, The Wild Woman, among others... Himarien has had many names over the years. Honestly, though, she simply prefers Hima... it's simple, unpretentious, and sounds sort of cute, in her opinion, which helps humans who encounter her.
A goddess of nature, a guardian of sorts, a mother figure, but a prankster, she is often kind and gentle, though she can sometimes be much less so... and heaven help the one who harms her children. She regards ALL beings as her children, as well... at least, if they are from this world. Though it is more fair to say that she despises pointless harm and cruelty. If you kill something for food, kill it cleanly and she understands.
Himarien is a deity of the open fields and deep forest, where the wind blows freely, pure, untouched by man. She's quiet, more often than not, though she can be friendly enough. She's one of those beings of legend who simply vanished from the world, or seemed to.... in truth, she simply drew back, away from the world of man, to tend to her own home, the deep, quiet places of the wild. She found men to be grating, their women to be shrill, and their animals to be bloodthirsty, and honestly she wants nothing to do with them, moreso since they forgot about her.
That said... while she may be a bit chilly toward humans and careless demihumans, she'll never be cruel to a child. She is a mother spirit, Mother Forest, calm and caring... the innocent will always find a safe place with her(if not within her).
