((HENRY ETC. ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE VIA THE PORTAL. IF YOU NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME FOR ANY REASON, YOU CAN FIND ME HERE))
The trainer card seen left is the one Henry uses when incognito. It is due for an update and is not entirely reflective of Henry's appearance
or his team.
Henry is 5'8, 157 lbs. with dark brown near-shoulder length hair and bright blue eyes, although you probably can't see that for yourself since he usually wears a pair of silver-tinted wraparound shades. Most notable about him, however, is his attire: white boots, gloves and backpack with black pants and a black shirt with a Red R on the front.
Yes indeed, Henry is a member of Team Rocket.
Name: Henry Griffin
Rank: Queen of Clubs
Bounty: $175000.00
Along with his Pokeballs, Henry comes equipped with a .45 modified to fire non-lethal riot-control bullets. He also carries a white sheath strapped to his back, but once again, the weapon it carries is nonlethal - the sword is wooden (he has a long enough criminal record, you see, without adding murder to the list).
His greatest weapons, of course, are his Pokemon. He has accumulated quite a few Pokemon in his career in Team Rocket, but to date he's only kept the following for himself (for preferences, ALLCAPS indicate frequent, lowercase indicates a slight possibility). They are, listed in order of date acquired:
Name:
Furret
Gender: Male
Length: 5'11
Weight: 72 lbs.
Preference: pred/PREY
Attribute: Normal
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Jolly
Moveset:
Me First
Shadow Claw
Helping Hand
Return
Furret was Henry's first Pokemon, and as such, is very much to Henry what Pikachu is to Ash. He and Henry have been partners for sixteen years – longer than his career with Team Rocket. He had never actually planned on Furret being his partner in crime, but Furret’s slender frame, morbid curiosity and penchant for shiny objects has definitely made him an asset in the field. Despite possibly being the oldest of the group, Furret maintains a youthful personality and enjoys romping about or playing dumb with strangers every now and then.
You would truly never know by the way he behaves that Furret knows Henry’s passwords and pin numbers. ~_^
Name:
Espeon
Gender: Female
Height: 2'11
Weight: 58 lbs.
Preference: pred/PREY
Attribute: Psychic
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Calm
Moveset:
Psychic
Calm Mind
Shadow Ball
Morning Sun
Henry went through the trouble of catching Espeon in a Luxury Ball as an Eevee and training her in broad daylight (usually not a good place for somebody that wears the uniform) for exactly one purpose: To become psychic and act as his second. Espeon is Henry’s chief adviser, allowing him a window into the minds of all those around him. There is a good reason Henry has never been caught, either in his own world or here in the park: Because Espeon is watching.
Name:
Arcanine
Gender: Male
Height: 6'3
Weight: 343 lbs.
Preference: PRED
Attribute: Fire
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Jolly
Moveset:
Thunder Fang
Fire Fang
Crunch
Extreme Speed
Henry started off training Arcanine as a Growlithe to be his "getaway driver," but also found him to be one of his more reliable fighters, and had an easy time training him due to his penchant for giving love bites (as his moveset might indicate). Arcanine is very much an adult, but like Furret, he still enjoys a very youthful approach to life.
Not surprisingly, Arcanine was the first of Henry’s pokemon to develop vorish tendencies while staying in the park. Arcanine already has a couple of "girlfriends" among the ferals in the park, and after getting some endosmaphilic training from one of the locals, tried more than once to sneak them back home with him in his belly.
Name:
Swanna
Gender: Female
Height: 4'3
Weight: 53.4 lbs.
Preference: pred
Attribute: Water / Flying
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Modest
Moveset:
Hurricane
Surf
Roost
Air Slash
Swanna was the first of Henry's pokemon to evolve, and was originally Henry's flier. As he grew older, however, she began to have trouble carrying him, so Henry has since denoted her to messenger. As a native of Unova, Henry was the only one who ever had a Swanna in Team Rocket (Giovanni never wanted any "imports" that were clearly not from Kanto, but tolerated Henry having one since he himself was a foreigner), so few people ever questioned whether or not her deliveries really were from him or not.
Name:
Dewgong
Gender: Female
Height: 5'7
Weight: 258 lbs.
Preference: PRED/PREY
Attribute: Water / Ice
Ability: Thick Fat
Nature: Modest
Moveset:
Aqua Ring
Signal Beam
Ice Beam
Surf
As you might have guessed by her moveset, Henry originally caught and trained Dewgong to be his surfer. He hasn’t had to travel by water too many times in his career, however, so she’s still somewhat inexperienced compared to the rest of his team. Bizarrely enough, Dewgong is actually more comfortable on land, most likely because that’s when she knows she can just lounge about and snuggle with Henry, or anyone else that will let her.
Name:
Emolga
Gender: Male
Height: 1'4
Weight: 11 lbs.
Preference: PREY
Attribute: Electric / Flying
Ability: Static
Nature: Timid
Moveset:
Air Slash
Roost
Volt Switch
Agility
Before Swanna had to retire as flier, Emolga was the messenger pokemon. Henry allegedly retired him after Swanna took over, citing the pokemon's difficulty flying great distances, his vulnerability to predators and his tendency to get blown around in windstorms. In reality, Henry still relies heavily upon Emolga as a secondary messenger; Swanna relayed messages to and from Team Rocket, while Emolga was his contact with the rest of the world.
Name:
Delcatty
Gender: Female
Height: 3'7
Weight: 71.9 lbs.
Preference: pred/PREY
Attribute: Normal
Ability: Cute Charm
Nature: Impish
Moveset:
Faint Attack
Attract
Assist
Return
Delcatty? In Team Rocket? You wouldn't think so, and that's exactly why Henry has one. Since when people think of 'Team Rocket,' one of the last Pokemon they think of is Delcatty, she makes the perfect addition to a disguise. Henry trained her just as much for combat as the rest of his team, but her primary job is to look cute and affectionate to him whenever he is out of uniform. She enjoys her role, especially when it allows her to tease while she’s at it. Henry isn’t a pokemon fucker like some people claim he is, but she and Henry both think it’s pretty funny to act in such a way as to convince them otherwise.
Name:
Absol
Gender: Female
Height: 3'10
Weight: 101 lbs.
Preference: pred/prey
Attribute: Dark
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Adamant
Moveset:
Slash
Night Slash
Sword Dance
Aerial Ace
Before Espeon evolved, Absol was Henry’s primary scout and ambush-spotter: she could use her sensitive horn to sense movement all around her. She was semi-retired from this position when Espeon evolved – this combined with Absol’s natural immunity to psychic influence has made for a tense relationship between the two of them. She is still unquestionably devoted to Henry, however, who allowed her to learn Aerial Ace and, in effect, allow her to compensate for all of her type disadvantages.
Name:
Audino
Gender: Male
Height: 3'7
Weight: 68.3 lbs.
Preference: pred/PREY
Attribute: Normal
Ability: Healer
Nature: Modest
Moveset:
Heal Pulse
Calm Mind
Helping Hand
Psyshock
It probably goes without saying that Audino's primary purpose in the team is to act as a healer. He takes a lot of pride and joy in being a healer, so much so that he actually consented to be captured by Henry if for no reason than because he expected Henry to keep him very busy.
Name:
Braviary
Gender: Male
Height: 4'11
Weight: 90.4 lbs.
preference: pred
Attribute: Normal / Flying
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Adamant
Moveset:
Fly
Sky Drop
Bulk Up
Superpower
Braviary was acquired after it became clear that Swanna wouldn't be able to carry Henry for much longer. Henry prefers to travel on the ground on account of his notoriety, but if he needs to fly, Braviary is available.
Braviary is a member of an all-male species of Pokemon, which has to make you wonder how it is that they reproduce. Braviary himself has lost more sleep than he'd care to admit over this question, and is very interested in having a baby braviary one day if only for the sake of figuring out how one is made. He's not exactly sex-crazed, but because of his interests in his origins, there are few things in the world that he wouldn't be tempted to try to mate with.
Name:
Sandslash
Gender: Female
Height: 3'3
Weight: 64.8 lbs.
Preference: prey
Attribute: Ground
Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Careful
Moveset:
Slash
Sword Dance
X-Scissor
Dig
Sandslash is, for lack of a better word, Henry’s architect. As Henry’s career began to blossom out of proportion, Henry figured that there would eventually come a time when the only safe place to hide was underground. Before it reached that point, he captured and evolved Sandslash, then immediately went to work training her how to dig. Sandslash is adept at this and can have a fully functional bunker dug out in a matter of hours (fortifying and furnishing it is still Henry’s responsibility though), and the two of them have actually had quite a bit of fun devising new and creative ways to conceal them from up above.
Name:
Manectric
Gender: Male
Height: 4'11
Weight: 89.1 lbs.
Preference: pred/prey
Attribute: Electric
Ability: Static
Nature: Modest
Moveset:
Thunder
Signal Beam
Flamethrower
Roar
If anyone asks, Henry will tell them that Manectric is a dedicated sentinel, but when he’d set out to capture one on the first place, all he was essentially looking for was something he could plug into his computer. Manectric isn’t ashamed or insulted to be Henry’s living battery charger, and since he knows Henry sought out pokemon who are capable fighters on top of being able to fulfill his needs, he’s actually flattered to have been singled out by him.
You can't tell by his moveset, but Manectric’s father was a different species of pokemon (he had previously known the move Curse, but has since forgotten it). Manectric admired this in his parents and hopes to one day mate with a non-manectric too one day. Consequently, he harbors no ill will or distrust towards wild pokemon or human beings the same Henry and many other pokemon in the family do. Anything that is not human or pokemon, however, can make him nervous – he thought he had seen (or at least read about) everything with Henry already.
Name:
Sawsbuck
Gender: Female
Height: 6'3
Weight: 204 lbs.
Preference: pred/prey
Attribute: Normal / Grass
Ability: Sap Sipper
Nature: Jolly
Moveset:
Horn Leech
Leech Seed
Faint Attack
Return
Henry had known since he began that he really should have had a grass type in his team, and he eventually settled on Sawsbuck for a reason that he admits sounds stupid: So if he ever had to spend a very long time underground and out of contact with the world around him, he could keep track of time by watching her horns change colors with the seasons. Now, he will readily admit, it sounds more like an excuse than a reason. Like Delcatty, Sawsbuck evidently takes pleasure in attempting to convince others that she and Henry are romantically involved.
Name:
Lapras
Gender: Female
Height: 8'2
Weight: 485 lbs.
preference: PRED
Attribute: Water / Ice
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Jolly
Moveset:
Dragon Dance
Confuse Ray
Ice Shard
Waterfall
Lapras is often regarded as a soft target too gentle at heart for combat, but Henry did some research and saw in Lapras a deceptive powerhouse. He went through the trouble of having her bred in captivity and hatched her in the wild. He never bothered to teach her how to surf since he already had Dewgong, but true to her nature, she still enjoys spending time out in the water with him on her back. More to Henry’s dismay, she inherited Arcanine’s playful nature, so while she is indeed very effective in combat, she never developed into the juggernaut that Henry had originally conceived.
Name:
Nidoqueen
Gender: Female
Height: 4'6
Weight: 142 lbs.
Preference: PRED
Attribute: Poison / Ground
Ability: Poison Point
Nature: Careful
Moveset:
Flatter
Double Kick
Earthquake
Crunch
There was a time when half of all Team Rocket pokemon were poison types. It might have been because Giovanni was a ground-type gym trainer and he felt better always having the type advantage over his subordinates, but for whatever reason, everyone insisted he needed a poison type. Henry finally settled on Nidoqueen – then only a nidoran, because he noted that she was actually self-conscious of her poisonous secretions, making it difficult for the average TR grunt to train her. Consequently, she was touched to have been hand-picked out of many by Henry and bonded with him immediately.
Name:
Kangaskhan
Gender: Female
Height: 7'3
Weight: 175 lbs.
Preference: PRED
Attribute: Normal
Ability: Scrappy
Nature: Jolly
Moveset:
Dizzy Punch
Double Hit
Brick Break
Crunch
Kangaskhan does not have a baby in her pouch. Henry doesn't even know if she had one or what happened to it; she was single when he found her. At the time, Henry had been unnerved by rumors of an "untouchable Pokemon" that turned out to be unfounded (the Spiritomb with Wonder Guard only exists in theory as far as he knows) which he thought he could counter by teaching a fighting move to a scrappy pokemon. He thought her lack of a baby would make her more open to outsiders, but instead he had trouble training her due to her complete lack of enthusiasm. He eventually figured out that the "Parent Pokemon" must only be motivated to fight when it has something to protect in its pouch. He employed her instead as a secondary caretaker until he found something she could call her own more permanently.
Name:
Lucario
Gender: Female
Height: 3'11
Weight: 119 lbs.
Preference: prey
Attribute: Fighting / Steel
Ability: Steadfast
Nature: Timid
Moveset:
Iron Defense
Calm Mind
Aura Sphere
Dragon Pulse
Henry originally acquired her as a Riolu from a severely abusive trainer. Since Riolus only evolve into Lucarios when they have a very strong bond with their trainer, the thought was that this experience would leave Riolu unable to evolve completely. For a long time, Henry therefore made no effort to train her, instead letting Kangaskhan have her as a substitute kanga-baby (Kangaskhan still will refer to Lucario as her daughter from time to time).
That all changed during a return trip to Unova where, after a very heated battle, Riolu evolved. She is still shy when it comes to social interactions, but has otherwise grown into a very confident and very talented fighter, quite possibly now being the absolute best he has.
Obviously, since she evolved while in Henry's care, Lucario is
very close to Henry.
Name:
Mienfoo
Gender: Female
Height: 2'11
Weight: 44 lbs.
Preference: PREY
Attribute: Fighting
Ability: Regenerator
Nature: Careful
Moveset:
Meditate
Quick Guard
Drain Punch
U-Turn
After Lucario evolved and became more sure of herself and independent, Kangaskhan began to revert into empty nest depression. Henry offered, at Lucario's suggestion, to have Kangaskhan always look after the most junior member of the family and to catch a new one every time the most junior grows up. Kangaskhan agreed, reluctantly at first, and shortly thereafter, Henry acquired Mienfoo.
Like Lucario, Henry forcefully took Mienfoo from an unworthy trainer. Henry and her former trainer met in a tournament. Henry was down five to one, but was awarded a victory by default when the other trainer responded to Henry's taunts by commanding his Pokemon to attack Henry directly, causing him to be disqualified. Mienfoo's trainer later tried to jump and attack Henry in the wild, after which Henry personally beat the ever-loving crap out of him and stripped him of every Pokemon he had. Henry only kept Mienfoo for himself; the others he gifted to his contacts or otherwise arranged safe environments for with the promise of visiting every time he's in the area.
Mienfoo's feelings on the matter are mixed. She wasn't exactly thrilled with having been stripped of her trainer (though does acknowledge that he absolutely deserved it), nor is she entirely thrilled with being Kangaskhan's replacement pouch-warmer. On the other hand, she considers it admirable that Henry was willing to go through all the trouble of acquiring her just to make another one of his pokemon happy. She's curious to learn more about him, and is content to sit back in Kangaskhan's pouch and wait for the facts to reveal themselves.
Pokemon captured during plot events:
Name:
Ninetales
Gender: Female
Height: 3'7
Weight: 50 lbs.
Preference: PRED/prey
Attribute: Fire
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Bold
Moveset:
Extrasensory
Hypnosis
Fire Blast
Morning Sun
Ownership: Shared with
Shae
Henry captured Ninetales under what can only be called extraordinary circumstances. He has never actually pressed her to speak of her origins and is perfectly content for her to reveal it when she herself is ready, but he gathers that Ninetales is actually from a different world apart from his own. She has psychic powers, as well as some apparently vorish tendencies.
He tries not to think of himself as being her trainer, partially because he had to negotiate for her to stay even after he had captured her, but also because he’s just never been comfortable acting as a trainer to anything that began on an equal level with him (Espeon is an exception to this because she was not always psychic, but even that he considers to be a grey area). The deal was that Ninetales would originally only stay with him so she could keep an eye on Shae, but that was a while ago, so Henry suspects her stay might be more permanent than originally intended.
Name:
Lugia
Gender: female
Height: 17'1
Weight: 476.2 lbs.
Preference: PRED
Attribute: Psychic / Flying
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Bold
Moveset:
Recover
Psychic
Hydro Pump
Aeroblast
Ownership: Shared with
Shae
Needless to say, nobody at Team Rocket knows about this.
If anyone wants to know why Henry will say anything, do anything and put up with anything for Shae, this is why. She was the one that actually caught Lugia, and he doesn’t even remember what he did to become her trainer, or even if he did anything at all.
Like Ninetales, Henry has kept his interactions with Lugia strictly social, only trying to bond with her since he’d never really even entertained the thought of catching a legendary before and is apprehensive of the fact that he now effectively lives with one. This is especially true since he discovered the hard way that Lugia is not only predatory, but apparently thinks of trapping someone in her belly as an appropriate way to show affection. Henry has
almost gotten used to it.
-----
Note that Henry comes from the world of Pokemon and therefore doesn't know about anything other than humans and Pokemon. He knows what a vulpix and ninetales are, but has never seen a fox -- knows plenty about houndoom and mightyena, but has never seen a wolf before. He may refer to you, therefore, being or resembling a Pokemon, but please, take no offense.
Henry himself is strictly prey, although he's far from easy. He's more than capable of defending himself, and having lived his entire life in a mafia-like atmosphere, he'd be hard to trick even if he didn't have Espeon to advise him. Still, as far as Team Rocket goes, Henry's not a bad guy, so an honest predator might be able to convince him to try a few things. He probably won't believe you, but if you're telling the truth, Espeon will inform him so.
As far as anything sexual goes. . . Well, it's true that Henry
greatly prefers the company of Pokemon to humans, but Henry will adamantly deny any allegation that he is a pokemon fucker. Henry's definition of such, however, is someone that seeks to catch pokemon
exclusively for sexual gratification. Henry has had sex with a pokemon before; so far his
only sexual experiences were with pokemon, but he will only have sex if the mood is right and isn't in any hurry to mate any time soon again. He doesn't love furries and pokemon so much as he's been turned off to humans. He could be considered bi for the same reasons: He doesn't literally love men, but because of his past experiences with women, he's just as
uncomfortable around the same sex as the opposite.
Henry himself will be more social the less human you appear (quadrupeds before furs, furs before humans), but his Pokemon are equal-opportunity and will mate with male or female, human, anthro, taur or quadruped alike, and aren't quite as reserved as Henry is when it comes to free love (unless you've got your eyes exclusively on Henry, chances are you'll win over one of his pokemon before you win him).
I intentionally saved his history for last, since I knew that was what the fewest people would read:
Henry was born in Nacrene City, Unova, and may as well have had a Team Rocket uniform made for him at birth. His father was a lawyer to Giovanni's overseas assets, so Henry quickly became involved in the world of Pokemon theft, landing his first job at an exotic pet store at the age of seven. It was noted by his parents and piers that Henry did very well with the "merchandise," so he was moved into the Rocket training facility in Kanto by the time he was ten, where he developed a great appreciation for Bruce Lee, and by the time he was fifteen, had managed to teach himself Jeet Kune Do just by watching Bruce's movies and Cowboy Bebop. When he turned sixteen, he was paired up with his partner,
Tracy, and since then, the two have had quite an active career.
Unlike most Rocket teams, Henry and Tracy relied more on their own athletic prowess and tact than expensive machinery or their own Pokemon. They ditched the motto, but maintained the typical Rocket code of showmanship by performing all high-risk operations with equally high payout. They are easily among the most decorated of Rocket teams, but are still stuck at an otherwise grunt-level status; well-payed and given leeway to choose their targets freely, but no higher up in the hierarchy than when they began. This is due to the fact that Giovanni needs to keep them busy on the field to counteract his frequent heavy losses.
A lot of those heavy losses he always suffers, however, are Henry's doing. Everyone had thought that Henry had become insensitive to Pokemon in that pet shop, but on the contrary, Henry instead learned to sympathize with the Pokemon wrongfully taken from their natural habitats and, more often than not, their loving owners. Henry is a double-agent, and every pokemon he's ever stolen has inevitably wound up back in the right hands as soon as they were out of his. He'd catch them, present them to his superiors, then make an anonymous phone call alerting the authorities where they could be found. He has been very careful to cover his tracks - even his partner Tracy doesn't suspect he may be playing both sides. Those in the authorities don't know it's Henry that's informing them either. He would always leave his messages with the alias "Little Raikou."
Believe it or not, Henry came to the Park willingly. A recent caper had given Tracy and he an appearance on America's Most Wanted, and much later, the two were assigned face card bounties in a "Deck of 52" for Team Rocket, so the two decided it was a good time to split up and lay low for a while. Henry had heard of this area before, not only about people going in and never coming out, but if strange and exotic Pokemon (which were really the anthros that live here) native to the area that no mortal man had ever set eyes upon. It seemed like a great place to both hide from the authorities and rack up some karma chips with the boss - two birds with one stone. He's since adjusted to the strange cycle of life and made a few friends, so while he hasn't abandoned the name of Little Raikou, he's starting to think of the Park as home.
Henry and Sandslash dug out a few bunkers in the forest, but he and his pokemon live predominantly in a treehouse compound owned and operated by
Terastas and
Deva in exchange for him teaching them what he knows about pokemon. It was their influence that made so many of Henry's pokemon into endosmatophiles.
