For as long as earth, the heavens and even hell has been around Azrael has been the Archangel of death. Its not a bad job as it would sound, sure he has to collect souls but they are the souls of the good. Azrael likes to think of himself as heavens undertaker. Azrael goes to earth and finds the souls of the good that have passed away and takes them back to heaven. Now that is not the only think he does, if it was he would not have to carry around a sword. Azrael is always fighting evil, whether is some evil person or creature trying snatch up the soul of a good person that has recently passed or they are trying to steal the soul of some or just doing something evil. Azrael maybe like heavens undertaker but he fights evil every chance he gets, his favorite to fight are demons. He actually rather enjoys fighting with evil as it gives him a change to test his strength and power. Azreal does not win every battle or situation he gets himself into. He learned along time ago about vore and how to do it. Its something he enjoys and when he does it to evil there are no consequences but if he does it someone that is good he could get in trouble but being an Archangel he gets away with it. Azrael is allowed to go to earth any time he want to and if he gets into any trouble and ends up finding himself vored or killed he ends up back in heaven like nothing happened. His favorite place on earth to go is this park that he found one day, it had plenty of strong people to fight both good and evil. Azrael never kill an opponent that is good but if they are evil he mostly likely won't spare them.
Just like you would expect, Azrael is a nice, kind and sweet guy but he does has his flaws even if he is an angel. Azrael has a bit of a temper, its nothing big and he has a lot of control over it but if you push him far enough he will get angry. Now you might think sure he is an archangel but he is an angel so it take him a lot to be violent and is a push over most of them time. You would be making a fatal error, with Azrael there is none of this peaceful angel thing. Azrael will kick your ass if you get in his way, make him mad or cross him. He is not afraid of a fight or of getting hurt. Basically Azrael is a badass, and he knows it. He does let his ego get to him sometimes and he can come across as a bit arrogant sometimes. He doesn't let his ego get to him most of them time but when it does he quickly becomes humble. Azreal protect the innocent, and help anyone in need even if they are evil. To him someone in need of help is someone in need of help.
During his travels Azrael met a normal woman named Alice. He came across her when he was suppose take her soul but Alice offered to be his lover and slave. Azrael looked deep into Alice eyes and had instantly fallen in love with her, he accepted her offer. In order to protect herself when he is not around Azrael gave Alice blade that worked just like his just not as powerful a blade but still a powerful blade. This blade is empowered by fire and Alice uses it to defend herself and to aid Azrael.
You would think because Azrael is an archangel he has all these powers but really he doesn't mostly he lets his muscle and sword to the talking. The blade of his sword can become surrounded by fire when Azrael needs or wants it too. His muscles are not just for looks, he has some super human strength since hes not human. Azrael can't lift mountains but he could lift something like a bus and throw it at someone as with some ease. Azrael wings are also not just for looks either, he can fly and at pretty high speeds but the only problem is the faster he flies the harder it is to turn or even stay steady. Like almost all angels Azrael can heal himself and other but it requires full concentration and how long it takes depends on the injury. Which trying to do full concentration on healing or getting the time to do it in battle is pretty hard. Azrael can shoot blast of energy and fire/throw balls of energy but there is a down side to this, each time he does it, it weakens him just a little bit. Which doesn't sound bad but if you do it too often and add in that your expending energy always especially during a battle it can wear you out quick. If he really needs to Azrael can disappear and reappear in a flash of white light.It drains him some so he can not do it too often but still can come in handy sometimes. Those are really all the powers Azrael has, he mostly lets his strength and sword do the talking.
