There were only a handful of surviving herons, the princess Leanne being one of them. Awoken after being put to sleep for many years, Leanne had some catching up to do. While memories of her two brothers and many protectors had never faded, she had yet to learn the common language of the land of Tellius, which meant that communication largely needed the assistance of her fellow hawks, ravens, or herons to get her meaning across. Even afters years of learning, she can only ever manage basic phrases of her own.

For being an incredibly delicate and sought after prize, often fought over for her beauty, rarity, and unique powers of magical song known as galdr, she can be very stubborn. Once her mind is made up, Leanne is not likely to change it, and though she is far too fragile to do anything as bold as fight, she is capable of assisting with her song whenever her allies need her help.
