General Hardiss Information
This particular clan of Lamia, known only as the Hardiss, trace their origins back a very great deal, they trace their ancestry back to hundreds if not thousands of years in fact. Many of the Hardiss clan claim to be descended from the first and original Lamia, although considering how disconnected the elders of the clan are from modern day and its many sciences and knowledge of evolution and so forth, such claims are not too surprising, even if they are clearly incorrect. Thus, the Hardiss clan's long records and firm belief in their roots as the first Lamia to exist leads to a very superior outlook that is grafted into their children from an early age, as well as a general superiority over every other species. After all, it is only natural for the strong to devour the weak, and the lamia are among the strongest there is. Of course, there are a few species the lamia consider their equal, a very, very small few. The best and most common example is perhaps the dragon, while naga's and echidna's are just viewed as different 'types' of lamia.
It was in such a climate and belief system that all newborns of the clan are raised. Most are born of a good healthy weight and tend to be around a foot long, the record in the clan was two feet. All their life they will have the lessons of the Hardiss clan instilled in them: Humans, rabbits, anthros of all sizes and stripes were just prey, even if they could eat others they were inferior to dragons, lamia, and other reptilian species and were nothing but food. Thus, it is an honor for any prey to be eaten and digested by a Hardiss, for not only are they adding to the lamia's body, but they are adding to the body of a descendant of the original Lamia. So really it should come as no surprise as to why most members behave as they do. It's been ingrained into them since birth. However, the Hardiss don't just keep to themselves, their are some they consider worth associating with, and finding willing prey is always a treat, and most of them wind up traveling and settling down, sometimes returning to the clan grounds.
Abilities and traits of the Hardiss Clan
Naturally the Hardiss, while Lamia at least have some unique traits, or rather have specific traits and abilities, that while other lamia might share, are the ones they personally possess in place of other such abilities. After all a Hardiss clan member isn't likely to have anything BUT these abilities unless they were a result of breeding with a completely different type of lamia.
Constrictors- The Hardiss clan are, well, not venomous, not in the slightest. They have more akin to constrictors like the anaconda than other snakes such as rattlers. Their teeth, like such constrictors are more for gripping then piercing skin or injecting any kind of venom, they dont' even have venom glands! What they do have though are very powerful coils, not only do the Hardiss tend to be very long, but the longer they live, the longer they get, and the thicker, and their snake halves have some naturally strong muscles regardless. Why, Talla here could probably bend iron or steel if she squeezed it with every last ounce of strength that she had, which she rarely has cause to do. (Player note: I have no issues with a character that uses venom, the hardiss clan, as an In character group simply rarely have it)
Hypnosis- Of course, they don't rely solely on the crushing power of their coils, they have a more subtle means of subduing prey. Whether it be by dint of magic or just natural genetic ability (depending on RP setting), the Hardiss Lamia can make their eyes oscillate in a rainbow of colors, that will and can slowly hypnotize anyone who stares into their eyes too long. fortunately they can activate and deactivate this at will, so they don't just go around randomly hypnotizing people on the street...unless they want to of course.
Warm blooded- the Hardiss are warm blooded, thus they tend to digest food quicker and eat more often. While experienced Hardiss can control the rate of digestion, to make a meal last weeks if they need to, or just want to play with said food longer, they'll typically digest their food over the course of your average day, and need a meal at least every few days to stay generally healthy.
Largely female- The Hardiss Clan could be considered a form of monster girl, in that most every member of their clan is born female, or on very rare occasions, a herm. they often mate with other creatures outside their clan, lamia, naga, dragons, and if a prey is lucky the prey itself, since the superior lamia bloodline will quash any prey weakness.

Description: tsukino is the powerful and ruthless leader of the Hardiss. Over a century old she's got a long, excellent length to show it, and is quite powerful. Her coils are dextrous and powerful, capable of trussing up and hoisting multiple lovely prey at once to tease and even torment before ending them somewhere inside her body. HOwever, while she's cruel and uncaring and even ruthless and domineering towards those she sees as prey, she's fairly friendly, if a bit flirtatious, around those she considers her equal or is part of her clan.
Clan Shaman- Illiad Hardiss- Aunt to Talla Hardiss

Description: She's the lamia of the Hardiss that is the most versed in magic, with the others only having light dabbling often related to hypnosis and even then it's not much. She however is quite a powerful and accomplished mage, skilled in many forms of magic, as is only required of her duties as the shaman. She's a rather friendly girl, and is the one most open to the idea of individuals in a prey species having the potential to rise from their kinds weakness, due to what she knows magic is capable of. Won't stop her from trying to eat those that haven't yet been given the status of 'honorary predator.'
Shalla hardiss- Mother of Talla Hardiss

Description: Shalla is Talla's mother and just a typical member of the clan, for the most part. Unlike most members she got into the clan by marrying Tamma, one can tell by her scale coloring and exotic skin tone that she's not a natural Hardiss. Like most members she views most creatures as food, but is very loving and supportive of her clan. She's perhaps not the strongest of the clan but...her hypnotic powers are practically unmatched, even her voice is so alluring that it can inflict rather minor hypnosis on others, and well, using her powers she always ensures that her prey's mind is so hypnotized that even the most burning of acids in her stomach just inflict nothing but absolute ecstasy!
Mayori Hardiss- Daughter of Illiad and Tsukino Hardiss, cousin to Talla Hardiss

Description: The daughter of the shaman and matriach, Mayori is the current up and runner to replace her father when Tsukino eventually passes the torch, assuming that doesn't happen for at least another two or three decades of course. She's learned some magic from her mother, and is currently the clan's main messenger, the young snake delivering messages to the various hardiss clan members all across the planet, although she's often still treated as a child as she only just became an adult and even then...with the long lived lifespans of the Hardiss it's hard to still be treated as an adult, but she intends to fix that soon enough!
Tamma Hardiss- Father of Talla Hardiss, daughter of Tsukino Hardiss, sister of Mayori

Description: Talla's father and one of the few herms in the Hardiss clan, Tamma is a rather...horny lamia to put it bluntly. She often prefers to fuck her meals before eating them, and will sometimes even stuff them down her cock after she unloads into them to turn them into her next batch of nice creamy seed. Still she's pretty friendly, liking to get to know her food before she eats it, since it's at least common courtesy to talk before you fuck.
Lenora Hardiss- Sister of Tsukino Hardiss

Description: The second oldest member of the clan and the sister of Tsukino Hardiss. She's not too interested in running the clan or such and often spends time in big cities, finding mates and food. In fact, both her daughters have come from people that have had the pleasure of fucking her before getting eaten! Still if there is actually a serious issue going on with the clan, Lenora will always be right there to help the matriarch figure it out!
Misha Hardiss- Daughter of Lenora Hardiss

Description: Lenora's oldest daughter, she's a rather...deviant lamia. In fact the others of the clan sometimes wonder if the mate that Lenora had for this little devil wasn't a succubus herm or an incubus. She certainly has a great knack for the more...sexual or seductive magics, and takes great pleasure in slurping prey into her sex, to melt them down that way rather than eating them more...normally. Still she's very loyal to the clan like all the others, she's merely a bit more peculiar.

Amanda Hardiss- Daughter of Lenora Hardiss

Description: Lenora's younger daughter, she's perhaps one of the most cheerful and playful girls in the clan, perhaps even friendlier than Talla herself! She's always out and about to meet others, take them home, show them a good time outside...and then inside. Although, she's actually gotten Iliad to teach her resurrection magic, so that her meals can always come back afterwards for more play and fun, the only times she doesn't bring her friends back, is when they deliberately ask her not to, and such special meals get a very special time before they're sent to gurgle away.
Tsubaki Hardiss- Daughter of Tsukino and Misha Hardiss

Description: The result of the seductive Misha approaching the matriarch during a big celebration for the hardiss clan, just a simple holiday really, but the fun atmosphere, and Misha's talents...and Tsukino's love for her fellow lamia had all been more than enough for the two to fuck and well...out came Tsukino's daughter, and her sister's first grandchild. Tsubaki, like most Hardiss clan members is very interested in seeing the world, and lives in one of the big cities like her cousin Talla. She's constantly looking for meals and fun, but she's not too interested in friends, not unless that friend can prove they're her equal, if they're not they better be there to be a pet, slave, or food, if not all of the above.
Alloe Tamara Hardiss- Adopted into the clan

Description: Alloe is not actually related to any of the Hardiss by blood, her own specific type of lamia hail from rather warm tropical islands, and don't grow to quite hte impressive sizes that the Hardiss do. however, she has more than made up for it, and impressed the Hardiss when Mayori caught her managing to devour a dragoness, having used her natural venom to paralyze the lovely morsel and then consume her meal while she was helpless. This was more than enough to see her recognized as a true and proper predator, and after some talking she was welcomed into the clan, which she's quite happy about.
Laura Hardiss- Daughter of Tsubaki

Description: One of the youngest clan members, she is nonetheless a very active and eager one. She's eager to learn not just about the clan, but about the whole world. Why she's even so curious that she was able to convince her mother to enroll her in a standard high school...although it seems unlikely that any school that would let a lamia enroll there is all that 'standard' right?
