The silent maiden

It is no surprise what Hannah is, she is a Youki, and can be something of a mischievous one at that. But that is to be discussed later. Hannah isn't like most Youki though, from the moment she was born she was not able to talk. That is not to say she can not talk. But whenever she does speak something catastrophic happens. She could simply say hello to someone and she could start an earthquake. What happens when she speaks is random and there is no order to it. Many have tried to figure out her strange powers but it never ends in an answer.

With this in mind Hannah was shipped off to many others in her kin, all in hopes in finding in answer. Still resulting in no answers she was finally sent to a hidden shrine away in the mountains, one that heard and often answered the prayers of a local village that resided under it. This would be Hannah's home now. She wandered the grounds and kept the shrine in order and tried her best to answer the prayers that she could. But not being able to speak lead to something of a problem, she had no way to communicate with anyone. One of the fellow Shrine Maidens handed her a notepad and a marker, now she always carries it around, giving her a way to speak with others.

Hannah still tries to speak from time to time. There are very rare moments when she can get away with it. But 95% of the time when a words escapes her lips something unexpected happens. From embarrassing as shrinking and growing, to as terrible as setting a forest on fire. Even whispering is not allowed. Hannah does try to mouth her words from time to time, but for the most part people can't read lips and this results in her using the notepad and marker.

The life of one so silent.

Just because she can't talk doesn't mean she doesn't have a personality. Hannah is very intelligent but rarely ever shows it. She would rather be getting into trouble then doing actual work. When chore time comes she normally hides out within a tree and sleeps for as long as she can. Hannah adores and loves nature and animals seem to be drawn to her. Typically by her side or resting on her shoulder is Lizard that she now calls her own. For the most part the two are inseparable.








Though her job is to answer prayers she doesn't do a very job of that. She likes to play pranks on humanity and skip about and live among the humans. Of course when doing this she has to hide her tail and ears, the few times she got caught with them it did not end well for her at all. She adores the human world though. Looking through the mall, listening to music, and eating at the local restaurants. When asked to speak of course she pulls out her notepad and simply claims she is mute. When it comes to playing pranks though Hannah tries to keep it all in good fun. Stealing people's hats, maybe even snatching their food and running off. For the most part she gives it back and just explains she is kidding! Though she has been chased out of stores for these very reasons. She also isn't above hiding in obscure places and scaring people as she pops out.





If you get to know the girl though, she has a very kind and sweet personality. Ones she calls friends she holds onto and never wants to let go. If she does see you as a friend she will run to you and hug you every time she sees you. She loves lazing around with others and just simply wasting the day, a lazy day is a good day. Of course Hanna does have some supernatural powers as well, though for the most part they are rather spastic and hard to control. Her speed and her agility is one aspect that always remains constant though. Hannah may not say a lot, but in this case actions speak louder in words. She has a big heart and a bit of a mischievous attitude, but at the end of the day she would rather just lay in the sun.
