Hanekawa

Bakemonogatari Fancharacter, containing spoilers. You have been warned.

I don't know everything, I just happen to know this.

Hanekawa Tsubasa has always been a superb student. Top of her class in grades, friendly, cheerful, and generally helpful, she's also the class representative, and can generally be counted on for good advice when approached by, well... anyone! She's good with kids, always seems to have advice, and never seems too worried about much, to most.

However, she also has a secret.

It started on April 29th a couple years ago, the start of Golden Week. She was walking with her friend Araragi Koyomi, discussing her fears and her future with him, when she saw a cat that had been hit by a car. Rushing over to help, she found that it was dead... still, she couldn't just leave it. With Araragi's help, she buried it, but the damage had been done.

What she'd found was not, in fact, a mundane cat. It was a Bakeneko, a supernatural entity, and it had marked her. Later that night, she felt a terrible pain in her head, and collapsed, as her stress allowed the Bakeneko to take over, changing her body, transforming her. Her hair grew perhaps a foot(and it was already long), and she sprouted a pair of cat ears, before she took off on what was to be the first night of a week-long rampage.

This Bakeneko was a nasty thing, but in fact it didn't actually intend her any harm. Referring to her as mistress, its rampages served to help alleviate her stress. its first victims were her parents, which it drained of life energy to dangerously low levels. When it targeted Araragi, though, it met its match in the form of a vampire, who did unto it as it had done to so many others. Still, that doesn't seem to have been the end of it.

For a year after that, Hanekawa didn't have any trouble, until the next Golden Week. A combination of stresses combined to reawaken the Bakeneko, which had not been banished so much as weakened into a sort of slumber. The stresses woke it up again, causing Hanekawa to sprout a pair of cat ears(and skip school, which is practically unheard of), before seeking the help of a local expert, a man named Oshino Meme. Hanekawa was knocked out, letting the Cat take over once more...

That was years ago, though. Only a couple. But she's doing better now! She's traveling the world now, to find new experiences, skipping college, or at least postponing it, to get some much-needed stress relief. She's come to grips with her little problem, as well, though if she's sufficiently stressed(physically, mentally, or emotionally) the cat will come back out...

And the Cat? She's the Dark Side to Hanekawa, so be careful, those of you who can't help using someone's profile against their character. For the rest of you, play as you will. ^^; But please, don't PM me in character, and I do like to talk a bit more beforehand, planning a few things out.
