Modern-day Hailey

Hailey Koch is not a very normal rabbit liminal. True, she doesn't have the most extraordinary name, but there are a few things about her that help her stand out from the crowd. For starters, she's a witch. Magic isn't exactly the rarest thing where she's from, but people who know more than one or two spells are a bit of a rarity. Hailey's the only one of her family to be so magically-inclined, and so after she graduated from high school, she decided to pursue a career in magic, enrolling at The Nairalot Academy of Magic at River Springs University.

While her friend and roommate Rosie is a bit of a jack of all trades when it comes to magic, Hailey primarily works with enchanting magic. She is adept at bestowing magical effects into objects, like creating a bag that's larger on the inside than on the outside, or a kitchen knife that chops your food for you, to name a few simple examples. Of course, she can still sprout sparks from her fingertips or levitate objects like any magic user worth their salt, too, though she is still in her first year at Magic College.

The other thing not exactly normal about the girl is that she's a man eater. And a woman eater. While rabbit liminals aren't exactly known for being the most predatory beings in the food chain, Hailey is definitely an exception to that trend. It must be the witch blood in her, because the rabbit can put away food like the best of them. A whole person, sure. Two people, definitely, and she can even put away the sack of potatoes they were cooked with. Three? Well, she'd be immobile after three, but they'd still fit; four is out of the question (for now, at least). She can stuff herself silly on more normal food, too, but eating people is fun. Hailey doesn't have to overeat, still able to survive on normal-sized portions (and lord knows the "coven's" food bills are high enough as is), but for the smallest of the four people living in the house, she can easily eat the most.

The 19-year-old rabbit's a short thing, only 4'8" (142 CM), and tends to be on the lighter side of things as well, unless she's on the tail end of a feast. She lives with Rosie_Marie and two other student witches in a house off-campus, which they refer to as their coven. She's usually quite friendly, though grumpy in the morning before she's had her coffee; if she didn't have to be in class, she'd almost certainly sleep until noon every day. She doesn't view everyone she meets as a potential meal, but if the opportunity presents itself, she usually won't turn it down. If anything, the rabbit will view people as a potential customer, as she makes most of her income from selling magical objects that she makes.

Fantasy Hailey

The swords and sorcery era Hailey is just as skilled at enchanting as her regular version. If provided with the appropriate materials, she can provide all sorts of enchanted equipment to her customers: arrows that burst into flames on contact, a wool cloak that's as strong as steel, eyeglasses that let the user detect threats, and more. Of course, there's a fee for her services, but if you've got coin, a sturdy yew rod, the teeth of a frost wraith, and some binding salts, she'll gladly make you a staff to fling sharp icy shards with.

In D&D terms, she'd be a bard. She's made herself a set of traveling clothes that are as strong as chainmail (but much more comfortable), and carries with her a dagger and a flute. The dagger weakens or dispells magic that the blade comes into contact with, and the flute has a slight hypnotic effect to it. She's not tremendously strong, but is wily enough to hold her own, for the most part. If need be, she can take on the role of a brave adventurer, if a town has a problem with a local drider or something of the sort.

She occupies the same place in the food chain as her modern-day variant, too, and you might be able to bribe her for her services with the promise of a feast. It'll still cost money, but she might knock a few gold off the price if the offer's right.
