Much like his fellow ExVeemon Guilmon is a creation of the company rather than a birth given person. He, and other fictional characters in The_Company are experimental creations just to see if they could do it rather than anything else.
And so, being not completely, but quite like the original from the show. He mostly just runs around the main office, being sort of a mascot that everyone just pats on the head and says he's cute whenever he accidental ruins something.
He's also very good at hunting the unwanted that sometimes makes their way into the main office.
