GriRasputin

"... Typical. You assume that, because I am a man, I fear this reaper. He has no hold on me."

Grigori Rasputin was once on the verge of becoming the most powerful man in all of Russia. However, before he could ultimately ascend to something beyond what was expected of him, to a position of nobility, some of the gentlemen of higher class made an attempt to dispose of him. They poisoned him, shot him, stabbed him, and ultimately drowned him in freezing water. Most assumed he had died of the ordeal.

This couldn't be farther from the truth.

For reasons beyond his own understanding, the 'great healer' awoke on foreign shores nearly two weeks after the incident. From there, he continued his path, though he took care to keep his identity secret in fear word would reach Moscow. In time, the empire he knew crumbled, anyway, and faded to a new form of government. As he watched on, Russia changed, and yet he remained the same, if not a bit more... Invigorated. The already-charismatic priest had taken on a more youthful appearance, almost as if he was growing younger by the day.

It all seemed like some bizarre blessing that would allow him to continue his teachings... And then it happened. The year was 1938, and the night was cold. A woman had offered him company, and he accepted, only to discover that she was a succubus. When she attempted to touch him, however, Rasputin's skin released a silver spark that burned her flesh, and as she revealed herself for what she was, he felt a fury channel through him like nothing he had ever sensed before, lightning and fire surging forth from him to smite this enemy of his god.

Rasputin was not only 'immortal', but he had learned to channel divine strength as an Invoker.

Now trained and armed with the power of his own faith, Rasputin has come to this place in search of an environment in which he can teach, hoping that he may avoid such confrontations again... But no matter where he goes, it seems the demons, devils, and monsters he is supposed to oppose follow, and this place is no exception. Being a man of lust, it's only a matter of time until he ultimately gives in, even with his faith in consideration. The only question is how long 'Gri' will last, and if it will even matter in regards to whether or not he fights back due to his supposed immortality...
