Have you ever had one of those days where you stood perfectly still, gazing out into the distance for what seemed like hours, silently contemplating to yourself? Granela's whole life was practically based around that concept, given infinite patience and no actual life goals for herself. The massive demi gargoyle stands tall at around eight feet eight inches, although despite her size doesn't look a day over seventeen. Her aging process was complicated, if anything, and having never had any real education, her mentality could be seen as more of a child than an actual adult. Though that doesn't make her harmless in any sense. It almost makes her even more dangerous, if anything.
Granela is a bit of an oddity, not quite made of stone but not entirely flesh either. Almost like scales, her arms and legs have stone plating alone the them, though not entirely, as what seems like ordinary human flesh rests just beneath. Almost as if she were forced to wear armor for her entire life, which happened to cover most of her upper torso, her limbs, and part of her head. Though her large, dragon-like wings stretching out behind her are made purely out of stone, and seem to contain every bit of magical energy the girl has at her disposal. And although it isn't much, it's enough to keep her satisfied.
As far as abilities go, she doesn't have a lot, although she doesn't need much either, given her usual hobbies and habits. Folding her wings over her body will let her shift her entire body into pure stone, and while it's still rather strong it isn't nearly as brittle as most rocks, making it a decent way for her to sleep in full protection or keep someone elf safe from harm. And while her wings are practically flexible rocks, they can give her the power of flight, thought mainly more through magical means than actual aerodynamics. She's still a bit clumsy with it either way, as she spends most of her time perched on something comfortable than flying around in the skies.
Although the outside of her body is a decent mix of stone and flesh, her insides are actually a bit more unique. She doesn't need as many organs as most creatures, and she doesn't even seem to have any blood or arteries throughout her entire body, meaning she doesn't have a heart either. Although most of the organs are missing from her body, she does have an organic, fleshy sac taking up most of the room of her internals which acts like a stomach of sorts, meaning her makeshift belly is much larger than most. While it's more of a storage space than an actual stomach, it can still process food and digest anything residing within at will. Whether she's in her normal form or in statue form, her insides stay the same, though they tend to become more dormant when she becomes a statue.
Asking about her past will likely wield vague results, as she can't quite recall how she came to be. She doesn't remember if she was born, or created, though given her strange bodily structure the latter seems a bit more likely. The earliest thing she can recall was wanting to serve a man who she referred to only as master. Protect him. keep him safe. Be his bodyguard, if anything. Although she did as she was told, her... methods were questionable. He didn't appreciate her forcing him into her little interior 'haven', for one thing, and given how childish she tended to act, it seemed like more of a hassle if anything. Finally deciding she wasn't worth the trouble, he gave the order for her to wait for his return, and she complied. For three entire years. Her life now alone and meaningless, she continues to wait on the one who left her behind, hopes still high that one day she can fulfill her duties properly. Though in the meantime, searching for someone else to try to serve as a means of training, so when the moment finally comes, she will be ready.
