Welcome to the Grandshine Galaxy!
In Nexus Park, there lies pods sent in from the remains of an ancient federation that once looked over this special galaxy. Ever since its collapse, the galaxy has regressed into obscurity and is just itching to be rediscovered! If one would find one of these pods, it would take them to the former hub for visiting this galaxy or possibly one of the vast amount of planets in this system. The many different planets have become a mystery and anything could be found as this federation seemed to do a poor job of keeping records of planets
This Federation was rather vast and its reach stretched over the galaxy until a rebel alliance fought with it which resulted in the destruction of both. Journals of both sides are scattered across this galaxy. Ruins of both civilizations can also be found. Some planets don't know that the federation and rebels have been gone for centuries and some planets still use the technology. Some remaining soldiers of both are still around if you look hard enough. What will you discover about them?
One of the things about the galaxy is that it has limitless potential. There are several things explorers can find! Several creatures are to be discovered, many lost planets are hiding in the shadows, many ruins to be studied, and lots of tech to tinker with! The possibilities are endless and there's bound to be something for everyone!
(Will add more as details are revealed!)

The many kinds of Zones and Planets to be discovered!
As a galaxy, Grandshine is full of planets and other things just waiting to be discovered! While most are genuinely unknown, most go under simple classification that determines what kind of things one might expect from the destination. Some areas might fall under multiple typings but usually are given an appropriate typing. Each destination is quickly scanned and given a type by the pods...
- Type 0: A planet with no signs of life or unfit for organic organisms to live on. Possible dead planet, ruins planet, or an abandoned planet. Usually attempts to colonize or plans of colonization have met with or been expected to have been met with massive failure either due to lack of resources, hostile environment, unstable placement, dangerous living conditions or any combination of the four. Proceed with extreme caution. Type 16 planets are typically mistaken as Type 0.
- Type 1: A planet that is or has begun colonization by the federation or already has a dominant local sentient race that not only lives on the planet natively, but hails as friendly. However, a communication device is recommended if communication is wished with the local sentient race. The conditions on these planets are usually ideal for all forms of life. Civilization on Type 1 planets typically mirror civilization on planets like Earth.
- Type 2: A planet that has life, but has not made contact with the Federation at all. Communication devices are HIGHLY recommended, but might not help if no sentient life has become dominant. Planets under Type 2 classification are most likely to either be highly primitive or be under strange conditions. Colonization attempts are to be considered but not recommended without consent despite Type 2 planets usually being the most ideal for colonization. Proceed with caution as most species of the planet are likely undocumented.
- Type 3: A hostile planet. Planets classified under this type either retaliated to colonization attempts with aggression or have greeted visitors with hostility. Translators are recommended but might not help. Planets like this have coincidentally found sentient creatures under tribes and have tended to be either very primitive or have had terrible past experiences with otherworldly visitors. Wildlife and Sentient creatures tend to be working together on planets like these as they have tended to have domesticated wildlife. Proceed with extreme caution and a weapon on hand.
- Type 4: A planet with no dominant or sentient race inhabiting the planet, but is perfectly suitable for sentient life to survive. Perfect for colonization, these planets tend to be seen as paradises and have been nicknamed 'Eden Planets'. Wildlife may be hostile. Planets like this tend to lean more toward jungle or aquatic climates or Geographic formations. Make sure to be aware of your surroundings and to keep on guard. Weapons recommended but not required. Basic Survival supplies are highly recommended.
- Type 5: A fully colonized or highly advanced planet. Planets like this are likely to be advanced in technology, medicine, and communication. Many sentient races are likely to be inhabiting the planet. A communicator is still helpful. These planets tend to be highly civilized and are usually friendly to visitors or federation envoys. However, be wary as these planets tend to be quite populated and thus easy to get lost in.
- Type 6: A rebel planet. A planet either captured by, or hails themselves as allied with the rebels. Most planets like these are similar to Type 5 planets, but are much more hostile to envoys and/or visitors using federation equipment. Proceed with extreme caution as these planets tend to have a very unstable government and inhabitants.
- Type 7: A pirate, renegade, or rogue planet. Most planets like these are similar to Type 5 and 6, but have fallen more into ruin either by time, lack of resources, or hostile takeover. These planets tend to be less populated but with more criminal or roguish types of beings. These planets tend to be more lawless and in some cases, anarchic. Proceed with extreme caution and with few valuables on your person.
- Type 8: Usually code for a planet used for mining, resources, or other needs. Planets like this tend to take on almost bazaar-like qualities as they tend to become merchant planets as well as planets many merchants travel to. While these planets tend to be more civilized, be wary that wildlife may still be hostile and criminals may still be around.
- Type 9: Factory Planets tend to go under this type as most have been used for the sole purpose of the construction of robotics, cultural goods, technology, and other factory goods. Planets like this tend to have very little immediate danger, but overexposure to the climate without protective gear might lead to problems. Caution is recommended as these planets also tend to be targeted by pirates and are also used on occasion as prison planets.
- Type 10: An ascended planet. Planets under this type house either god-like beings, beings who have ascended from physical forms, have gained great knowledge, or have become so advanced, that they have achieved their limitless potential. The landscapes of these planets can vary from extreme high tech to completely natural, following no particular pattern. Locals on planets like this tend to be random on their opinions of 'mortals'. Proceed with caution and avoid hostility.
- Type 11: Planets with extreme conditions and hostile wildlife, also known as 'Wild Planets', usually go under this classification. These planets, while very much able to support life, are nearly impossible to colonize or be hospitable to sentient creatures. Most plant life and wildlife will meet with hostility. Proceed with extreme caution as planets like this always are hostile and the climate is likely to be dangerous.
- Type 12: An undiscovered planet in which immediate scanning devices cannot classify the planet. Further studying is needed. Proceed with caution as these are not yet classified.
- Type 13: Planets like this tend to have mysterious and odd compositions and tend to be known as 'Mindbending' planets. Planets like this tend to either have little to no life, or be thought of to be sentient themselves and tend to use your own mind against you. Proceed with caution.
- Type 14: These planets are well known for religious ties. Planets under these classifications, advanced or otherwise, are seen as highly religious in one form or another. These can be caused by actual contact with the believed god or gods, or due to popularity of a religion. These planets tend to be non-violent and highly populated, but be wary of your words.
- Type 15: These planets are similar to the type 13 planets but with one major difference between the two. Type 13 planets morphs and changes on its own while Type 15 planets will form to the will of the first person who steps on the planet. These planets tend to go without a star and are initially lifeless. Once the person who first stepped on the planet leaves, the planet resets to its original state and awaits the next visitor. These planets have been nicknamed "Imagination Planets". It is not recommended to settle on these planets as these planets are said to warp the views of the controller and supposedly corrupt them, possibly due to the planet showing all parts of one's mind. This however has yet to be proven.
- Type 16: Planets under this typing typically go under the nicknames of "Ghost Planets", "Afterlife Planets" or "Dead Man's Planets". The reason for this is because these planets are typically populated entirely by ghosts or spirits of all types of races. Planets like these are often mistaken for Type 0 Planets by most computers or outside observers, but do not be fooled. Unlike Type 0 Planets, which have no presences to them whatsoever, Type 16 Planets are often hubs for spirits all across the galaxy. Strangely enough, to those able to see it, many would find the civilizations on these planets to be seemingly Utopian, mainly due to the inhabitants being dead and having no reason to fight as they see no point for the deceased to squabble. Another strange trend for these planets are that they are usually surrounded by thick nebula clouds that almost certainly spell death for anyone who passes through them. Be warned as these planets may end up having you join the population of the dead that inhabits these planets if you get too close! Avoiding these planets is typically for the best.
- Type 17: Simply put, Type 17 Planets are planets completely covered with a liquid of some sort, usually water. Sometimes a blanket of ice can cover this, but more often than not, there is life beneath the liquids of these planets. Please be sure to bring the proper gear if you plan to explore one of these planets. These planets typically vary on political alignments and levels of technology.
- Type 18: Technically, anything classified as Type 18 is labeled as a colonized asteroid. Not quite a planet or space station, but has life and civilization on it. Exploring these should be treated the same as exploring a Type 7 Planet as these asteroids often were populated out of desire to hide from other planets.
- Type 19: Type 19 Planets are planets without a star to orbit or isn't part of a solar system. These planets are typically quite cold so protective gear is highly recommended. While unlikely, it is possible to encounter life on these planets.
- Type 20: These planets are known as "Doomed Planets". A Type 20 Planet is a planet that is currently predicted to be destroyed within a year's time by outside forces. Be it an expanding star engulfing it, a supernova, a collapse of the core, the expanding of a black hole, or any other reason caused by an outer force, these planets labeled as Type 20 SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS or at the very least, not visited for very long. If a planet is considered Type 20, most inhabitants will likely have been evacuated.
- Type 21: Zones under this category are typically being hit by some sort of interference, be it solar, electromagnetic, or otherwise. If you enter one of these zones, electronics will likely cease to function and any communication attempts will likely be met with failure. These zones also seem to interfere with magic. If one plans to explore one of these zones, one must take caution and be sure to be armed with non-electronic and non-magical weapons and to be ready for anything, because zones under the Type 21 category are unable to be scanned in any deeper analysis from a machine.
- Type 22: Type 22 is typically known as a War Zone. Once you enter a Type 22 zone, you will be in danger of being attacked at all times, either by opposing forces or even looters. These zones often cover several planets and sometimes, multiple solar systems. One must be on guard at all times when entering a Type 22 zone, because as the saying goes... "All is fair in love and war." That saying holds true, especially in Type 22 zones.
- Type 23: Forbidden zones are labeled as Type 23 zones. By default, any launch pads are programmed not to go to any place located in a Type 23 zone as they are off limits. If a zone is designated Type 23, it can be for a number of reasons, such as being used to contain a quarantine, being used as a base of operations for the Federation, to protect the populace from heavily unsafe conditions such as massive Nebula systems, and to keep people out of entire solar systems that are predicted to have a cataclysmic event soon (such as a supernova or a black hole). One must avoid these sections if possible and if you are stranded in a Type 23 zone, to try to get out of these zones as fast as possible.
- Type 24: Many scientists debate on the existence of Type 24 Planets. Simply put, Type 24 Planets are "Dream Planets" or planets only accessible through one's dreams. Supposedly, these planets are only visible when looked for in a semi-conscious state between slumber and alertness. It is rumored that if one goes to sleep near one of these planets, they will find their dream self on the planet's surface. As for the appearance of these planets, the landscape is rumored to vary, but usually takes a similar appearance to Type 13 planets, only usually with much more life populating them. However, due to being unable to prove the existence of these planets, Type 24 Planets are widly considered to be myths.
- Type 25: These planets are theorized to be inside their own pocket dimensions. For some reason, these planets, while easily entered are not so easily exited and therefore, are mostly undocumented. Scientists theorize these planets are similar to Type 13 or 15 planets with some theorizing the "afterlife" qualities of them, also comparing them to Type 16 planets. However, due to the extremely difficult manner in researching such planets, the only thing that is known about them is their existence.
- Type 26: This classification is saved mostly for places of accelerated or helpful transport. This could vary from a hub planet used for tourism and resupplying, to wormholes to help travel through the galaxy. Type 26 areas are usually quite populated or at least often used as these places tend to be used during transport, making them quite popular.
- Type 27: An area with extreme gravitational pull. This could vary from a strange planet with increased gravity, to a black hole. These areas are not recommended for investigation, especially in the case of travelers not equipped for more than the gravity one would find on Earth. Transport Pods are programmed to avoid places labeled under Type 27, though their gravitational pulls do sometimes pull them in if they fly too close.
- Type 28: In broad terms, areas labeled as Type 28 (usually planets) are areas that exist in a "time pocket" where the flow of time is abnormal. Be it time moving much slower than it should or time moving extremely fast, these areas while not exactly quarantined or avoided by Transport Pods, are not recommended for tourism or visiting as one may easily lose their sense of time going in or out of these areas.
- Type 29: A classification used to mark massive space stations (Transportation Hubs not included). These areas are usually planet-sized or large enough to have its own self-sustaining population without the need of constant supplying. While there are a few of these kinds of stations, these large projects seem to be quite rare due to the extreme amount of resources needed to build such massive structures initially.
- Type 30: Type 30 planets are preservation planets. Planets used for the sole purpose of preserving different species in enviornments where they'd thrive. To be allowed into one of these planets, one must usually be part of the preservation team in charge of the planet OR be accompanied by a member of the team and/or a high ranking officer of the Federation. Crash landing on one of these planets is also possible, but the Transport Pods automatically avoid these planets due to their protected nature if verification is not provided.
- Type 31: A planet that has an extremely high percentage of life on it. These planets typically don't have many living things on them, but it is theorized that the planets themselves are living beings that seem capable of having atmospheres of their own. Travel to Type 31 planets at your own risk as they can be unpredictable.

If I'm in the Library and I don't have a DND or Away sign up, I AM LOOKING FOR RP!
Another note: I have Asperger's Syndrome so sometimes the line between what's alright and what isn't can really be a blur to me. I reveal this now because some people question my choices every now and then. Please, if I'm irritating you or you think I might be going a bit far, let me know. I just have trouble sometimes...
If I'm annoying you or you just don't like me, LET ME KNOW! I find it so aggravating when someone just ignores me or says they'll brb and leave without telling me then ignores me. I can take it, if you don't want to RP with me, just tell me. I find it really irritating when someone just does that... Don't be a jerk and ditch me and ignore me. IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK?!?! Alright...
