The Goddess of Darkness has a rather complicated relationship with the world at large. Long ago, the goddess enacted a plot of global
domination, aiming to seal her fellow deities away and rule over mortal kind. Those that pledged themselves to Umbra's service were granted
mastery of dark magic and whatever else their heart desired while those who opposed the goddess faced her wrath. In no time at all, the
world found itself embroiled in a war that would shape its very destiny.
In time, tenuous alliances between enemy countries threatened to collapse but just as the goddess' servants were poised to end her conquest
in a decisive victory, a hero arose. With a motly crew of fellow adventurers at his side, he plunged deep into enemy territory with the
intent to challenge Umbra herself in combat. Though neither this hero nor his companions were ever heard from again, Umbra's forces soon
withdrew from their occupied lands and the war was over. Many assumed the goddess soundly defeated, the hero and his companions having
sacrificed themselves for victory, but less than a century later, the goddess appeared once more.
Personality:
Stories about Umbra have led most of the world to assume her a cold and cruel goddess full of ambition, but that couldn't be further from
the truth. Well, the cold and cruel part at least.
