Some explanation: In her world, the children of fairytale characters are expected to fulfil their destiny and have the same fate as their parents, and go to school to learn what they need to know. Ginger Breadhouse is the daughter of the Candy Witch (from Hansel And Gretel), which means her destiny is to try to cook Hansel and Gretel's children in her oven, and probably get shoved into her own oven in the process. Obviously, she rejects her destiny. Not wanting to be reminded of her villainous heritage, the shy girl wants nothing more than to bake for the love of it and to host her own cooking show, and not to lure in children as her mother did. She doesn't want to be a villain. She can also bake helpful spells into the food she makes.
