Pictured Above: Gibu are predatory, and like to cling to the walls / ceilings of caves, waiting for their prey.
Gibu, or The Gibu, is a strange hermit creature that lives alone and remains mostly docile to conserve it's energy, as if in a prolonged hibernation. It only awakens when it goes without nourishment for too long, or when it senses living creatures near it's den.
The Gibu is a flying wyvern monster that shares traits with other animals like bats and leeches; it has no "vision", and is rather blind, but is able to see by emitting a high-pitch "humming" noise when it shakes the fluorescent, purple sacs around it's body-- the globules that are easily identified on it's head, and on it's tail. Using echo-location, it senses and gets a good idea of what's around it, or how things look.
It's body also allows it to drain sustenance from prey by latching onto them with it's tail, and sucking the prey dry of their fluids. If particularly hungry, the Gibu will even go so far as to skip sucking the prey, and simply slurp them up into it's tail so it can drain them quickly and completely.. Or slowly and messily, if it's been particularly angered. The tail has been classified as both a mouth and a vaginal orifice, as it is used not only for eating but also as another way to mate-- the Gibu feels pleasure when something slides into it's tail, and it has special ducts through the limb's length that separate into the creature's stomach or their womb. Very lucky prey may end up inside of the Gibu's womb instead of it's stomach, where the Gibu will re-birth them later.
Pictured Above: While Gibu have small differences in body types and coloration, most are pale with pink-or-purple sacs on their head and tail.
They have wide, round hips, with flat chests-- Gibu have no breasts to speak of.
The strange tail is even able to spit out strong goop from it's orifice, which holds any number of uses-- the goop is sticky enough that it can restrain prey, although it is easily dissolved with saliva. It also acts as a potent aphrodisiac or sedative, depending on the duct it was secreted from; at the Gibu's will, they can feed the goop to their prey (it will dissolve in the prey's mouth once mixed with their saliva), and either numb them and calm their mind, or tear away their inhibitions and make the prey incredibly aroused. Either version of the fluid has it's uses.
As carnal as any other creature, the Gibu is also eager to have it's way with any prey it finds attractive, either for mating purposes, or simply because the Gibu gets lonely and has needs. It is hermaphroditic by nature, and can enter extended bouts of mating if it deems appropriate, either with multiple partners or by keeping one particular partner prisoner and using them- over and over again. It holds no distinct affection for mates, however, and is just as likely to devour them for nutrients once it has been sated.
Note: For the purpose of identifying this particular Gibu, the player will refer to it with a male pronoun (he, him, his, etc). That is the creature's and the player's preference, so please do not refer to the Gibu as "she" or "shi".
