Meet Rarity, the Element of Generosity, and a true lover of fashion and society in the higher of civilization. Ever since she was just a little thing she's always been rather obsessed with fashion, making dresses, suits, hats, and outfits of all shapes and description, always putting her best into each one. Yet, despite her incredible skill with such things, she's not quite as popular as she thinks she should be, but still gets a good amount of custom at her boutique in her home town of Ponyville. Still she longs to move to Canterlot, or Manehattan places where fashion or higher society is far more common, a much more suitable place for a lady such as herself. Although she would be very reluctant to leave her friends behind.

Still a mare can dream of such things can't she? Even if, in the end, she would choose her friends over such high society, and she can still visit those towns on business trips, or even just for pleasure. It's not the end of the world after all.
