Gargoyle dressed for the kill~ Commissioned by a good friend, Silrath~
Image commissioned by Ake from The_Artist, a big thanks to both~
Family Name: Bara
Personal Name: Yuki
Alias: Gargoyle
Race: Vampire
Height: 5'1"
Age: "It's been a little bit."
Weight: "What units of measurement do we use this time?"
Gender: Female
At a Glance Appearance: She stands at 5'1" with blonde hair that decends down to mid back, it is often left down, but occasionally she puts twin ponytails in it with a matching pair of black ribbons to hold them in place. She has pale skin, close to the color of snow, but not so pale as to be -completely- without color. Her eyes are a vivid blue, like the clear sky on a summer day, unless she's about to feed of course, in which case they would be a deep crimson, much like the blood she feeds off of. Her shirt is a black tee, with the sleeves reaching to about the middle of her upper arm, and at the very end of each sleeve, is a pair of red stripes that encircle the sleeve's end. At the collar of the shirt on the front, she has a simple red ribbon tied, and fastened in it's center with a pin shaped like a bat carrying a rose in it's teeth. The bottom of the shirt, where it reaches the waist and top of the skirt, is tucked slightly under the waistline of the skirt. The skirt extends to just above the knees, with the same matching pair of red lines encircling the hem that adorn her shirt sleeves. Her legs are bared to about mid shin, where she has socks pulled up to. The socks are simple white cotton, and her shoes are a pair of simple women's dress shoes, not high heels, and with black ribbons over where the laces would be.
----------
Character Description: A girl who typically looks to have just reached eighteen with a pleasant attitude and a warm smile (Sometimes changes how old she looks). She has medium length blonde hair, which she sometimes ties up into twin pigtails. Her eyes are a shining blue, clear and bright like the summer sky. Her skin is pale like the snow, and she usually roams around in a schoolgirl uniform. Of course, she's far from your normal schoolgirl. She is in fact a vampire. When her hunger strikes, look out! Even her closest friends are seen as potential meals when she needs to drink, with the exception of her fellow vampires. Her eyes shine bright red when she needs to feed and she'll bite without a second thought if she needs to eat. Her previous meals can easily be identified by the stone statues they leave behind after draining them of all their blood, and she herself will turn temporarily to stone if exposed to sunlight with red eyes. She collects these statues and brings them home, where she has a vast feild of red roses, covered in statues striking the various poses they held in the moment of their death. Often found around others who look the age she looks, and will try to lure them to her home or somewhere private for fun, and often a meal~
Gargoyle's Biology - As you've probably guessed, little Hana Yuki is far from a traditional vampire. To help you better understand how her type of vampire works, I have created this section of the profile. No stealing please.
-> With Blue Eyes <- Gargoyle is unharmed by sunlight, talismans, holy water, garlic. She is stronger than a normal human, easily able to lift up to 800 Kilos. She weighs as much as a normal human and can blend in rather easily. She may not use any of her abilities as a vampire without reverting to her Red Eyes, including feeding. If harmed, her eyes will revert to red, she may also do this of her own volition. She must revert to red at least once every three days to feed.
-> With Red Eyes <- Gargoyle may be harmed by Holy water, talismans, and is very offended by the smell of Garlic. If exposed to sunlight, she will turn to solid, immobile stone and be completely vulnerable until the sun goes down or she is removed from the sunlight. While not in sunlight, her skin is as tough as granite, and any part of her cut off will solidify to granite, and she will immidiately regrow the limb. If smashed while not in sunlight, she will piece herself back together again and remain unharmed. If smashed in sunlight she will be destroyed, however, if any particle of the smashed stone comes into contact with blood, she will be resurrected. She is stronger than a normal human, easily able to lift up to 800 Kilos. She may not revert her eyes to blue without feeding on at least four pints of fresh blood. When she feeds, her saliva seeps into the wound to aid the blood in flowing easier, however, this also causes the victim to slowly turn to stone as the saliva travels the bloodstream. She can prevent the release of saliva should she desire for one of two instances. She may feed harmlessly by only drawing a small amount to sate her hunger, on the off chance she cares enough for someone to prevent harming them. She may drain a victim entirely without turning them to stone, the victim will die, and be reborn as a vampire. Vampires created by her have several traits. The new vampire has their own free will, however, her word is Law, and should she give a command, they would be compelled to obey, regardless of their own will. Her new vampires are as a traditional vampire, not sharing her biology, with only one exception. If exposed to Sunlight they will turn to stone, and may be revived by blood landing on any remnant of them, however small if smashed.
The Diary of Hana Yuki, Excerpts~
The first memory I have, as far back as I can remember, is the Snow. I had snuck out of the castle to see and experience it for myself, having heard the town's common children speak of Snowmen. Of course, my parents had no idea where I went, and nor had they yet named me. So when my father found me out in the snow, building my own little snowman, he chose to call me Yuki. His little 'Snow Flower'.
My father, as well as my mother, were royalty in our small country. Of course, unbenownst to the folk of the town, they were also both Vampires. I myself being their child, naturally I was a pure blooded vampire as well. As for what pure blooded is, well, I guess it has something to do with my family tree, which is also something I really didn't care enough to look at, although apparently my parents say it traces back to the first vampire, and contains only vampires. I spent most of my days back then with my mother, who oft tutored me on various things of note, such as the history of the nation, numerals, and how to write correctly and coherently. I found these lessons to be boring, the only highlight of my day being when I was allowed my pick of the lawbreakers in our jail opon which to feed. Of course, as I was next in line to the throne and an only child I did understand the neccecities of these lessons. My favorite times though were the lessons on courtly manners, oft when my Mother would allow me to sit on her lap in the audience chamber, and watch as the local merchants would bow and scrape, attempting to win Father's favor.
Of course, as all things, all it takes is one small error, and everything can be ruined in an instant. Such is what happened when a prisoner managed to dig an escape route from the castle. The prisoner was a child rapist and murderer. The sort of vile creature that usually draws the universal disgust of all. Well, he ran to the village after that, and of course we were blissfully unaware of that fact. He ran to the abbey and to the head preist, and informed the preist of our vampirism. This very preist, the very man whom had condemned this man at his trial for rape and murder of a small boy, now lauded him a hero. The preist rounded up the people of the city, informing them that Father, Mother, and myself, were 'horrible monsters' that needed to be destroyed.
Naturally, with a raging preist at the head spouting all his god this and smite that nonsense, and their Serial killer hero, who was more than likely just wanting to run off and find more little boys, they would soon arrive at the gates to the castle waving the standard issue torch and pitchfork. Father would hear the banging on the gates, and look out to see what the commotion was. He would see all his people, whom he had never mistreated up in arms against him, and knew, somehow, they had found out about what he and his family were. Father would go out to speak to them, trying to reason tha he had only harmed criminals, people who were otherwise condemned. Of course, they didn't want to hear it, and Father would meet his end at the point of a sword doused in holy water.
Father, although naive, had not been a stupid man. In the event of an invasion by a larger nation, he had built a secret passage that led from both my room and my parents' room down and away from the castle. By then, the people had set fire to the oaken gates and forced their way in. Mother and I hurried into the passage, but of course the foolish woman had not been careful, and allowed a peice of her gown to be torn off in the entrance as it sealed. The people searched high and low for us, until the escaped prisoner found the peice of cloth, and managed to open the passage. It was not long before the thundering steps of the townsfolk followed.
Mother had always been closest to me, the kind woman ever at my side and showing me how to live. She set me down and bid me to run away, smiling sadly at me. I smiled back at her, but I did not want to leave. She hugged me and gave me a kiss, and shooed me off as the torches drew closer, and I ran as fast as I could until I reached the snow outside the castle, never seeing her again. As my footsteps trailed through the snow, covered by the falling flakes, I passed a snowman, being built by a little girl with blonde hair. I smiled at her, and kept on running, never looking back. That girl? She was executed by crusifixtion and burning, having been mistaken for me.
----
I let my instincts guide me in those days, just sleeping under brush or in caves, and striking the unwary when the thirst came. It was a simple time, and I missed my soft bed in the castle, as well as the life I'd lead back then. It was around this time I would be confronted by vampire slayers. The vampire slayers traveled in a group of three, and had come after hearing of a preist being killed, puncture wounds in his neck. I had of course killed the preist, as I resented his ilk, and I was hungry. They were good at tracking me. I kept having to change my sleeping place each night or risk being caught, but somehow, they caught up to me anyhow.
I was in a small cave at the time, and they blocked the entrance. They brandished swords, forged in the shape of crosses, and dripping with holy water, much like the weapon used to kill father. Naturally, I was concerned. I backed up toward the rear wall of the cave, hoping they would move in such a way that would leave me a way out. Unfortunately, two remained while one approached me. He came forward with a thrust, but I moved to his side, taking his arm and wrenching it behind his back, pressing him to the wall as I bared my fangs to him and his allies. I bid them let me leave and I would let him live, but they refused, and so I dug my teeth into his neck, tearing it out and getting a good mouthful of his blood before dropping him and eyeing the other two. As much as I was hungry, survival must come before eating.
The two uttered curses and the like as they eyed me, mentioning some stuff about their god I did not even care slightly about. They were more wary this time, and the second apporached as the third guarded the exit carefully. I would have liked to use the weapon the first had, but blessed as it was, I could not grasp it without harm. I let him approach me, almost within range enough where he had begun his backswing before I spat into his eye and picked him up, throwing him onto his ally. In the confusion, much to my delight, the third had his sword at just the right angle where he ran his friend through. I leapt over them and headed out of the cave, into the twilight.
The third hunter chased after me of course, the silly man was determined not to have lost his allies in vain. He stumbled about, shouting curses and calling me out to a duel. Like I cared for his duel, I don't ven like fighting, I just wanted food and a place to sleep. But I did realize that he would follow me, and that night was a better time to confront him rather than daytime. So I threw a rock at him. Got him good too, right in the temple. He landed face first in the dirt, and I poked his weapon away with a stick before pinning his arms and sinking my fangs into his neck. I drank for a few minutes before he woke up enough to mumble something that made me stop drinking. He'd injected himself with pure holy water and a medusa's venom in case of this very thing. I doubled over in sheer agony, but not before making sure to tear his bastard throat out. I moved back to the cave and blocked it with a stone, and fell to my knees, clutching my stomach as I tried to purge myself of the tainted blood, but I'd taken too much to prevent it. I watched with horror as my hands slowly turned to stone, the curse of the medusa taking it's effect on my body, weakened by the holy water, and before I knew it, my world was dark, and all was silence.
----
Many, uncounted years later I would awaken. My cave had remained sealed all this time, and as luck would have it, a battle was going on overhead, blood dripping down through the ground and landing on my hardened granite body. Slowly, but surely, I became aware of myself and my body again, and moved my fingers experimentally. A smile on my lips, I waited until I heard the sounds of night, then moved the stone and left the cave. The world had changed while I was away. So much had changed. Luckily, after a little exploration through the old tunnel I found my family's castle intact underground, and largely untouched. I sealed the passage and set about fixing everything, many things overturned from our flight on that fateful night. With a little work, I made the place passable again, and it was around that time I would plant my Garden. In the underground cave the castle was in, there were stones in the walls and celing that gave off a faint light, and so I planted rose seeds. Since then, my garden has become bigger and healthy, and I have added a few lovely garden ornaments. It's hard to keep up with human culture, since they change so fast, but I've kept my home safe, and I do my best to keep up with trends and fashions, blending in, and inviting the occasional dinner guest to my home. All is well now, and I am satisfied.~
Gargoyle's Haven, Shato-Bara
Gargoyle's hidden castle, a place of rumor and legend, where vampires are said to dwell. Many have searched for this place for uncounted centuries, but none have found it and returned, leaving it as but a legend among those whom study the Occult. And a nightmare for those Vampire Slayers and religious figures she captures alive.
The entrance is hidden in a barren, snowy area, and will not open unless Gargoyle speaks the keyword. Once the entrance is open, a vast staircase will become visible, seeming eternal in it's downward decent. At the bottom of the spiral staircase, lay the beginning of Gargoyle's Outer Garden. A beautiful feild of roses the color of crimson, illuminated by the crystals that line the cave and glow a soft pink, spreads in all directions inside the massive underground cave, and if one approaches the roses and looks within their razor sharp briars, they would see the statues entangled within, the last remnants of those whom were eaten by Gargoyle, kept forever in her garden. A path paved with cobblestone leads forward for a distance to the Castle Proper.
Shato-Bara, although an old, decrepit castle when rediscovered in a past age by Gargoyle, has since been repaired and improved, with the vampiress adding her own aesthetic touch to it. The pure black stone of it's walls stand in stark contrast to the crimson of the roses, and it's high walls and parapets reach toward the cave ceiling, it's surface bearing a sparse few pink glowing cave crystals. The gate itself is made of Ebon and bound in Damascus, with a large Damascus disk in the center that bears the emblem of a Rose. The Disk always glows a soft pink, enchanted by Gargoyle to open with her will, or the will of those whom she has allowed to dwell with her and shared the incantation.
The inside of Shato-Bara is of the same black stone, smoothed as if by a professional mason, and lined with the same glowing crystals that decorate the outside of the castle and wall of the cave. From the Main entrance, via the gates, there lay a corridor which leads forward to the Inner Garden, Similar to the outer Garden and surrounded by a solid paved surface, the boundaries of which are marked with enchanted Pillarsm which keep the roses from growing onto the path. In the center of the garden, via a small path from the entrance corridor, lay an ornate chair, surrounded on the floor by cushions for a 12 Meter radius, and this is oft where Gargoyle herself and her servants would relax. Two corridors branch out from the left and right sides of the path surrounding the inner garden, which lead to many rooms, some empty, some dwelled in by those she has become close enough to to allow to dwell with her in her abode.
If one follows the path around the central garden to the opposite side of the room, one would come across a Door, which is chained and locked heavily, and nobody but Gargoyle and her most trusted are allowed down within the dungeons and torture chambers. The Dungeons are split into two cell blocks, one of which contains captured humans to be used for food purposes, and the second of which contains Vampire Hunters and Religious Figures whom lie chained until eventual torture and brutal execution.
On either side of the chained door, leading upward to a Double Door, lie an ornate staircase, carved of a smooth black stone, and inlaid with carvings of Roses. The Double Doors lead into the bedroom of the Vampiress herself, the massive Ebon four poster covered by a series of many blankets, decorated with bats bearing roses in their teeth and various pillows at the head and foot of the bed, the matress looks easily larger than a king size, and could without a doubt handle many occupants at once. The room is adorned by an Armoire and a Dresser of ebon wood, carved and painted in places with roses, and a window, oft with closed curtains, that looks outward to the garden.
--------------- The Five Maids of Shato-Bara
The five Vampire maids that dwell with Hana Yuki. Each will be listed as they are introduced via Rp's with Gargoyle.
<--->
Family Name: Tsuri
Personal Name: Miyara
Race: Vampire
Height: 5'3"
Gender: Female
Appearance: A girl with short white hair and red eyes, oft clothed in the black and white frilly french maid suit worn by the five vampire maids that live alongside Yuki. She oft has a gentle and serene expression on her face, whch is of the purest white skin tone.
About Miyara: A weak and sickly albino girl from the day of her birth, Miyara never quite fit in with others, and would suffer terribly in the sunlight, oft getting extreme burns on her skin and almost totally blind in bright lights. She used to like to stay inside and sleep during the day, and snuck out during the night to play when the sun was not out to cause her any pain.
On one of those nights that she snuck out, she had been in the middle of planting a rose in a carefully prepared plot of earth under the gentle light of the moon and stars. Yuki had been on the prowl, but in those days she thought nothing of humans other than food. Yuki was quite startled at Miyara's red eyes, and Miyara was startled by Yuki's as well, but quickly came up close to her and stared into her eyes with wonder. Miyara hugged Yuki spontaneously and whispered to Yuki that she was glad to finally meet someone like her.
Yuki was confused at first, thinking that Miyara was perhaps a vampire, but Yuki was also sure Miyara didn't smell like one. Miyara went on and on about her illnesses due to her weak immune system, and about how much she hated the sun, as well as her problems and struggles with it. Yuki, for the first time in her life, knowing Miyara was a human, found herself liking the young girl. She sat down and they chatted, becoming fast friends.
Each friday evening, Yuki would come and talk to Miyara about Miyara's week, and about her little rose garden, which Yuki adored, having her own of course. Yuki also noticed that Miyara, smelled like blood. She asked her about it, and after pressing, Miyara revealed sadly that she had contracted tuberculosis, that there was no cure, and that she was expected to die soon. She also got down on her hands and knees and apologized to Yuki for still meeting her, even knowing the disease was contageous, but went on to tell the vampiress that she was Miyara's only friend, and without her, she would die a sad and lonely death.
Yuki thought carefully about it, and after some consideration, revealed herself to Miyara as a vampire. Miyara was startled and fearful at first, but as she thought things over, she overcame that fear. She told Yuki, that to her, Yuki was still Yuki, and that she had nothing to fear, as death would soon claim her regardless. Yuki then pulled Miyara to her, and told her that she had also become attached to Miyara, having been lonely for many, many years. She offered Miyara immortality at her side, and Miyara accepted, and has dwelled at Shato-Bara, tending the roses ever since. She is the closest to Yuki, and the two are as sisters, or even closer as the other maids suspect, having seen her sneak into Yuki's room at times.

Family Name: Kuragi
Personal Name: Setsuna
Race: Vampire
Height: 5'9
Gender: Female
Appearance: A girl of about 5'9" of height with medium length black hair, and eyes of vivid purple. Her skin tone is of the purest white, and she oft wears a mask over her mouth and nose, mostly out of habit. She can usually be found wearing a simple black and white, frilly french maid's outfit, although she has many other outfits for when she goes out on her own, for hunting, or just for her own enjoyment.
About Setsuna: A Ninja whom worked part time at a local resteraunt as a waitress. She prided herself on delivering excellent and courteous service in a prompt manner without being seen doing so. So good, she was at sneaking, that her own boss had no idea what she looked like. Of course, Yuki, hearing of the Ninja-Waitress, decided to go to that resteraunt herself, and stunned Setsuna by catching her and greeting her in person. Setsuna invited Yuki to return next time, and over the next three visits, she would Catch Setsuna each time. Setsuna was astounded and quickly befriended Yuki. She revealed she was in fact a Ninja in training, along with her twin brother Mitsui, and asked if Yuki would help in her training. Yuki of course declined, much to her dissapointment.
On her way home after that conversation with Yuki, Setsuna was intercepted by her brother, Mitsui, and given a scroll, sealed and signed by their grandfather, whom was the head of their ninja clan. She quickly read and accepted the mission, which was to assassinate the legendary vampire 'Gargoyle'. Setsuna stalked the streets that night, and confronted Yuki, attacking her. However, Yuki was resistant to everything she tried, and she ended up being beaten, however, Yuki had no desire to kill Setsuna, and released her. Setsuna would head home, shamed and a failure.
Just before she reached her home, her brother, Mitsui, intercepted her again. He told her that there was only one thing that a ninja whom had failed a mission could take, and bid her commit seppuku to redeem herself, and she agreed, knowing well the laws of the clan. She drew her knife, and her brother, sword raised, stood behind her. She cut across her stomach, and up, but her brother, whom had been supposed to act as her second instead sheathed his weapon. He spat on her face and laughed at her, and told her that he had forged the scroll, then turned and left her to die a slow and painful demise.
Yuki had witnessed this from the shadows, and quickly came to Setsuna''s side, along with Miyara. She told Setsuna that while she could not save Setsuna's life, she could instead give her a new one. Setsuna, whom was in agony beyond words, and crying tears of agony and shame, managed to choke out the word 'Please' as she lay dying. Yuki and Miyara would both bite her and drink quickly, hoping to turn her before she succumbed to her injury. They did their best to patch her up and took her back to Shato-Bara, where she took three weeks to awaken, and another three of nursing back to health to get back on her feet, and used to her new self. However, she still had one thing left to do.
Late at night, she snuck back into her former home along with Yuki, whom carefully kept watch. Setsuna confronted her brother, easily besting him, and held him still as she drew his knife and forced it into his hand. She whispered to him "And now, you will repend your dishonor." as she forced his hand, clenched by hers with the knife, into his stomach and dragged it across and up. She then stood and took a sword from the wall and drew it, whispering "And because I am not you, I will fufull my duty as your second." before she lopped his head off.
Since those days she has dwelled happily in Shato-Bara as a vampire, often taking the duties of a maid around the castle, and she still does her best not to be seen doing so, mostly out of habit. She occasionally pries a sparring match from Yuki, with whom she has become quite close, although to date she's never managed to win. She has a secret love of cooking, even though she herself can no longer enjoy what she makes, but she does enjoy feeding her cooking, which is remarkably good, to her meals before she herself dines on them. Among the miads, she's the least talkative and the most sneaky.

Family Name: Bara
Personal Name: Mei
Race: Vampire
Height: 5'0"
Gender: Female
Appearance: Stands at about 5'0" with long hair of crimson, and sparkling yellow eyes. Her skin tone is as the very snow, but not quite as white as Miyara's. She wears a soft pair of thin soled shoes of yellow colored fabric, along with a thick, warm pair of yellow knee socks. A pair of blue shorts cover her rear and extend down to about mid/upper thigh, and she wears a yellow sleeveless shirt with Yellow arm socks that extend from her wrists to slightly past the elbows.
About Mei: Mei's past is shrouded in mystery, mostly due to her reluctance to talk about it. However, over the years, Mei has shared a bit of information about herself with Yuki. She was the only daughter to a woman whom ran a guild of assassins. From a young age, before even learning to walk, her mother was teaching her the skills she'd need to kill swiftly. Of course, her mother's hands were stained red with blood, and the time would soon come where the woman would have to pay the piper. After manipulating a young mother into trying to kill her target by stealing and holding hostage the woman's son, Mei's mother would soon be greeted by none other than Nefarious and shortly meet a grisly end. Mei traveled with Nefarious for many years, until Neffy would vanish suddenly during her duel with a terrible necromancer. Yuki too had been there, bought off with a bottle of Neffy's blood. Seeing Mei with nowhere to go, Yuki offered Mei a place in Shato-Bara.
Mei would of course accept. She had been a killer for many years, needing to kill to feed didn't phase her in the slightest. However, she wasn't a very talkative sort, seeming almost empty of feeling and lacking entirely of emotions. Yuki and the other four girls of Shato Bara were slightly disturbed by Mei. The girl was always silent, never speaking unless spoken to, and even then, only the most minimal responses. This bothered Yuki, whom enjoyed a close, personal relationship with all four other girls, even Setsuna.
Yuki would take it opon herself to get to know Mei better. She would get the girl to come with her, and talk to her, getting her to try on some of Yuki's clothes. Mei obeyed, but showed no intrest in this, much to Yuki's frustration. Yuki tried taking her out to the feilds of roses around the castle, along with Miyara, and doing a little gardening. Of course, the quiet and reticient Mei would show no intrest again. Only when Yuki took Mei out to hunt did Mei start to open up, awed by how much better at it Yuki was than her. She was even further awed when Yuki revealed the nature of the garden's statues to her. It was then when Mei would, albeit gradually, begin to open up to Yuki.
Yuki would introduce Mei to the castle's library, the place packed with ancient, musty tomes that recorded the great histories of the land, Shato-Bara's records and more. Mei would be horrified at the state of the place, bookshalves toppled over and books lying in haphazard piles across the vast room. She quickly set about fixing the place up, and Yuki would leave her to her devices as she did so. A few months later Yuki would go to check on Mei in the library, having not seen her excepting when Mei would ask for permission to leave and hunt. The library was immaculate, organized and alphabetized, and Mei had begun reading each book in the library with wide eyed intrest. It seems she was secretly in love with literary works and the great events of the world's past. Yuki would be surporised at how chatty Mei would become the further she delved into the books, previously quiet, the books had opened up another side of her, and a great pile of romance novels sat next to her desk in the library. Ever since, she's become one of the more talkative of the five maids, although she rarely leaves the library. Having no family name of her own, Yuki granted her the surname 'Bara'
