Dangit, Roslyn! Lemme go! You're making me look silly at work!

Typical, really. He summons his favorite imp, but she's so enthusiastic, she winds up... well, you see.

Its not her fault she's so affectionate, really. She was born that way. And well, for some reason she likes him, so she'll help him when he summons her. Still... she's friendly, and good company, so that makes up for her flaws. Its not uncommon for her to stick around when he's at work, tagging along behind him.

Roslyn! Wait! Don't eat- ... my stapler...

She also dislikes paperwork. But he's got a lot of it, typically because he's sent out on long-term assignments, and this sort of thing tends to pile up. Oh well. Its a living, and he's making the world a better place.

But what is his job, you may ask?

Gabe is what is known, in his world, as a peacemaker. Not a peacekeeper, though those exist. No, he's the guy who gets called in to take care of difficult things. You know, like demon incursions, ogre rampages, trolls, that sort of thing. He's been specially trained for this.

Did I mention he's like, sixty?

But he doesn't look it! Well there's a reason for that. Wizards take longer to age in general. This also applies to those with the potential. He's got more than forty years of magical and combat experience, which is pretty helpful, really. Essentially, think of him as a knight and a mage rolled into a big, happy ball of pain for those who he is typically sent against.

That said...

you can't win them all. More than once, he's been gobbled up by is foes(or Roslyn), and that's no good at all. His weapons, clothes, and skin are all marked with a Rune of Return. Which means, if he dies or is kidnapped, he can be summoned. He can summon his gear, as well, good as new even if it'd been damaged. Handy. Its a two-way sending, though, in that he can put his gear back. He's got a handy assortment, too. Fun times. Mostly, though, he's likely to be encountered off-duty.

Oh, and yes. He is vore capable. Gotta bring suspects in somehow, and lets face it, it can be pretty tough if they don't want to cooperate. Simpler, faster, to eat them or have Roslyn eat them, then use a rune of return.
