Yes, you're not reading that species wrong, Fausk is a cat anthro. For some reason, when she was born she happened to look exactly like a fox. Her parents soon realized this was not the only odd thing about their child. She seemed to abhor the color pink, and was more interested in toy cars than toy dolls. Around the time she was 12 she sneaked off to get her first ear piercing, and not in any of the "acceptable" places on the ear.
Her parents became exceedingly frustrated with how their child was turning out, so they kicked her out of the house at the age 13. Since then, Fausk was forced to wander the streets, and ended up learning a lot about the inner mechanics of cars, motorcycles, trucks. She also picked up a keen interest in electronics and how they work. After she sneaked into a concert, she also found the pleasing interests in music and saved up til she could buy herself a Candy Apple Gibson SG GT, after which she bought a Heritage Cherry Sunburst Les Paul bass.
Since then she generally works in a mechanic shop, except for the nights where she decides to start up a small stage in the park and play music for the passer-bys to listen to, even if it's typically not the music everyone enjoys.

Description:
The mostly brown fox, with red tips, is quite clearly the essence of a tomboy. She wears a tank top/muscle shirt that is torn off to expose her belly and her favorite khaki pants that generally have many tears, rips, frays, and grease stains on them from her work, as well as odd patches that she makes herself. Her belt side pouch carries her tools, generally a wrench and a couple screwdrivers, though at times she will find a stray microchip or something else she finds fascinating and tuck it away inside as well. A rag hangs off a loop on her pants, generally used for wiping off sweat or greasy things. But she also tends to use it rather unceremoniously as a napkin.
A pair of goggles rest above her eyes, protective eye wear, keeps the hair out of her face, and she generally just likes the look. Being a tomboy, she tends to not care about what others think about her appearance, so she does not always bother to freshen up, or change to nicer clothes to meet someone. Besides, why change your clothes when you are just going to get them dirty later through work?
