Another day in the life.

Meet Faryn! Mage for hire, and low-level magical talent of no real noteworthy status. He's nobody, really. Perhaps on purpose, mind you, but still, no one you know, or particularly want to know. He's been careful not to make a name for himself, on the streets, so no one comes looking for him, good intentions or ill.

Faryn, here, is a street mage. A magical talent who didn't find glory at the Academy, and took to the streets, to make what fortune he could for himself. MOST like him quickly get snapped up by syndicates, gangs, and the like, and they tend not to live very long, one way or another. Faryn, though, pretty much... vanished. No one could find him, or if they did, they forgot they HAD found him.

Which... kind of says something, hmn? I mean, he's hard to miss, what with that hair, and those clothes. He's pretty tall, at 5'10, and well-toned, too. Not exactly easy to blend in, like that. And, well, there's rumors sometimes that he did not, in fact, fail at the academy, that he simply learned what he wanted to know and got out as quick as he could, after. Whatever the reason, he IS outside now, and his talents, such as they are, keep him warm and comfortable, and well-fed, more often than not.

See, Faryn here has a gift for mental manipulation. Hypnotism, especially, but all sorts of suggestions and controls. Everything from the stereotypical mind-control through eye contact to gentle strokes to calm someone down, to simply talking pleasantly to someone, he has a gift for manipulating emotions, and making friends. Really, he can be quite charming. Some friends, of course, are more true than others, and some are so temporary, for a variety of reasons, but the gift is there, and it has served him well. That, and his quick, nimble fingers and his excellent memory, making petty thievery and a certain amount of crafting possible, and profitable.

That's not all, though. His BEST assets are his girlfriends, mostly temporary. Pretty girls, or sometimes guys, will take him in, often on the strength of a suggestion by him, after he works his magic, and he'll live comfortably with them for a while. He'll have FUN, too, in a variety of ways, vorish and otherwise, and, well, they'll enjoy what he does. He's not a dick about it, after all. No saint, but certainly not an evil bastard. Just human, perverse, and magical.

And, well, the world is his oyster, now. He's comfortable, content, and generally pleased with himself. What more could he want?
